    Sad isn't it, but when you think about it, this explains the poor drafting, lack of depth on the roster.

    The Texans win/loss record over a 10 year span from 2007-2016 was:

    8-8, 8-8, 9-7, 6-10, 10-6, 12-4, 2-14, 9-7, 9-7, 9-7

    O’Brien arrives and the Texans go 9-7 over 3 consecutive seasons with complete dog **** at the QB position. The roster has for sure been pretty decent all things considered, thats not really a rosy outlook the proof is in the pudding. I know Texans fans expect 10 wins over 10 straight years before they can even think about giving an ounce of credit.

    While they had their share of misses in the draft, especially mid rounders they have found some good players in later rounds and in post draft free agency. Everything looks much much rosier when a team has a real QB. Despite not having one this team has done pretty damn good and has one of the best defenses in the league last several years save last years oft injured team.

    So you want me to say “This is Gaine first draft” and leave off the S??

    The Texans have been extremely successful with their 1st rounders. Everything outside of that (free agency, trades, 2nd round and lower picks) have really hurt the franchise more than anything else.

    Will that change with a new GM? That’s the idea but we’ll see. Even without the splash signing most were hoping for, thought Gaine did a good job with his first FA. Navigating the draft without a 1st and 2nd will be interesting to see.

    Rick Smith might have pulled the ultimate mic drop by walking off with the best draft the team has ever had. 3 possibly 4 starters including the franchise QB.

    I agree; Cunningham was mocked to us in the first constantly and we got him in the 2nd. Depends on what happens to Foreman and similarly Deshaun. Lets see what happens to Davenport and Treston

    I think Foreman could take this draft over the top if he can be a starter with consistent productivity.
    I feel the same way about Treston as I did when he got drafted. Decwho?
