Sorry, but if we go after a bat, it should be either Realmuto given our weakness at that premium position, and how he is the best C in the game and an all-around great player, or a lefty bat, given how heavily righty our lineup is and all the righties we'll see in the playoffs. And Abreu has a pretty hefty contract, and the Sox are notoriously tough to deal with and will ask for a lot. And where does he play when Correa comes back? No thank you.
I can't even begin to describe how much I admire and respect AJ Hinch and am so happy he's our manager. Just seems like the real deal in everything he does from a management of human being perspectives, and although not all his decisions work out (who does) he's open minded and aligned with the FO. Just a great manager imo and neat to hear stories like this
