Tampa going 20-5 and winning 8 straight series. Frankly doesn't matter that much. Want Oakland to win that WC game as they will be a bigger challenge for Boston right now.
It’s mathmatecally possible... but still only in the range of 0.1%. Seattle is 7 back of the A’s and they still have 6 head to head games. Technically, they have a better chance of getting in the playoffs vs TB because of that schedule... but still only 0.1%.

No. We are up 4 with 11 to play. 7 of which come against extremely shitty teams playing out the string. It’s oossible we don’t win the division but exceedingly unlikely.

When did you start having this feeling? The A’s haven’t been as close as 2 games out for several weeks now. As far as pennant races go, this has not been that heated... mainly due to the fact that the Astros have also played excellent baseball to match the A’s down the stretch. The main action is the wild card home field... which I also feel is overrated.

Some people here are bizarrely stressed about a not so tight pennant chase. I'm keeping an eye on it obviously, but not the slightest bit uncomfortable right now. If this is getting your sphincter tight you are not ready for the torture chamber of the baseball playoffs.
