So, does everyone want to offer their thoughts on the draft? What they liked, didn't like, what'd they'd change for the next one etc.?

I liked the format a lot, personally. It was unpredictable, which we lack in most drafts at this point.

Next time we need to come up with something new again, unusual drafts are almost always more fun, at least to me.

Of course, if we could add 10 completely fresh people and draft with 20+ players like we did a few years ago, then even very simple drafts become more fun.

Personally, and this is probably a reach, I'd have knowledgeable posters (who are not part of the draft) from the GARM come and judge. Oh and they have to be non-homers or any team with Dream or perhaps Harden would automatically win. And also have the judges explain in some detail why they chose team X over team Y.

The solution is to care less. :p

Seriously, we've tried it a dozen different ways, there will never be a way that works perfectly.

Outside judges are a pain to get, almost all people who really give a **** about a draft are already in that draft. We can get like Izak or someone else from past drafts to come and judge sometimes, but people have lives. They might judge once or twice, but they have better **** to do. or someone will go into nerd rage like happens in every other draft and scare all the judges away.

The best judging system wet had was

    Offense
    Defense
    frontcourt
    backcourt
    bench
    chemistry

It provided a lot of analysis and required actual thought while judging. The problem is it takes forever to judge because we all have lives or use our phone.

That simulation site was cool the few times we used it. But very unpredictable and not weighed correctly towards all the players

I think I need to take a hiatus from the fantasy drafts. As much as I love the brehs, I think fresh meat would make things much more interesting and unique.

Really liked this format and would want something similar again. Agree that fresh blood would be good, maybe we all need to advertize these drafts in every posts we make in other sections (for example in our sig or under our posts).

I am thinking, maybe we do a limited all-star selection draft. Where like, in order to be eligible, players cannot have more than 3 all-star appearances. So that will rule out the all-time greats, and really make people have to research or remember players as there were vs automatically saying this person was goat, therefore he wins.
