1 regular and 1 2-way Interested to see what we do here. I don't understand letting Isaiah Taylor walk unless we had something in the works. We still need a 4th guard...no way do we expect CP3 or EGO to stay healthy for the entire season. Deron or Ellis? I like the idea of Ellis, but I don't think we could give him enough regular minutes. Deron seems like a nice fill in type player. For the 2-way, we haven't heard much about Hartenstein recently...I thought he was planning to play down in the valley??
Yeah, here it is: And i agree, i think we need a guard way more than a Josh Smith (Burt Steele saying Smoove is coming back lol), personally i'd like to get Barbosa, even though i have to say we probably need more a true pg ala Prigioni.
Is Brazilian PG a lock for RVG ? Or do we have to use a 2-way spot on him . IMO he's got the highest upside from a guard that we have had on our roster in some time. 6'6 , good vision , good athleticism , just very raw . I think he could become a real player in a year or so , especially if he develops his defense.
To me these roster spots are best served to go to young players to develop , at least one of them. We already have a rotation , we already have depth at the wings and bigs . So if we want more depth it would be at guard . But , we have a trio that will command all the minutes there ... And no FA will break into their mins , or even be out ahead of Luc . So this potential veteran would have to be extremely cool with sitting on the bench and waiting for injury * which we all hope doesn't happen , but still would like to be prepared for* Still , I'd like to think about the scenario of blowouts really quickly . If the rockets are as good as we think they are gonna be , there should be a fair amount of them. Currently , we have our 3 guards and Luc (+maybe Bobby) . Do we really want Gordon or Paul or James running point in the 4th Q of meaningless games ? Garbage time is a perfect opportunity to give a young guy some PT So they can be ready to step in if one of our guys go down for a bit .
Jameer Nelson, Deron Williams, Beno Udrih, Aaron Brooks, Trey Burke, etc... Any of them would be a better option than Bobby Brown at 3rd PG.
I don't care who they use their spot on, but MDA better expand his damn rotation and Daryl Morey REALLY needs to grow the old MDA mustache. MDA should grow his back too.
