I originally thought this was actually Vegas odds and was about to actually put money in sports betting for the first time in my life. But then realized it's just some random guy's opinion.

If Vegas has the Rockets at 52 wins then that's as sure a bet as you can possibly find to put in the over. Anything short of both Harden and CP3 missing entire season would have the Rockets over.

Y'all need to chill out. We have to play Golden State, LA, Portland, Utah, San Antonio, New Orleans, OKC and a couple other potential playoff teams.

They have to play Boston and Philly.

It's not hard figuring out where they got these numbers.

Even with losing Ariza and LMaM, we're probably only looking at a -5 to 7 win reduction, so I think a 58-60 win season is more likely.

Charles Barkley also has us behind 5 teams in the West. He said we'll be a 6th seed this year behind the Warriors, OKC, Nuggets, Wolves and Lakers.

Completely a joke. Chuck always hating on the Rockets even after Les sold the team.

The ability to do that is actually something special. Not everyone can handle that.

    But later in the year...

“Of course Harden is winning, he’s surrounded by so much talent! Can’t be mvp...”

The media and some fans are overrating the losses of Ariza and LMM.

As long as CP3/Harden/Capela are there you guys pretty much didn't lose when it counted.

Win a Championship to Shut their collective mouths up. Harden is the best basketball player right now. Yes over Durant and LeBron. Harden is competing. Other 2 are bandwagon Superteam Cowards. Harden creates a Team, Recruits Players that Love playing with him on the team. LeBron screams, yells, blames, media blames the whole team, the coach.
Harden never blames his teammates ever. Very Admirable. Harden and Paul only fight with each other, because Chris Paul is a bigger brother to James, James learns and gets even better.

Last year the talk was we would not be able to play cp3 and James Harden the results where 65 wins look the Rox are going to be around the same thing give or take health considerations. They are going to be fine

    Cp3/MCW
    Harden/EGO/Green
    Melo/Green/Ennis
    Tucker/Ennis/Anderson
    Capela/Nene

I hope we rest our guys more this year, especially CP3. That will mean fewer wins which is fine. It’s all about the playoffs. We don’t need 60+ wins. We need healthy, rested players in the western conference finals vs GS.

Are you even surprised though...same sh*t every year!

Are we worse than we were last year? Possibly - I honestly can't say for certain and the offseason ain't over yet. We do know however, that Harden alone can get you about 50 wins in the West!

Will they be as concerned with the regular season? Possibly not - the goal will once again be winning a championship, and health in the Playoffs will likely be the main concern.

The one thing you can bet on however: As the season progresses, the talking heads will once again say that we have one of the deepest teams in the league. While players like Ennis will be seen as crucial to our success, other players like - for example - Ingram/Kuzma, etc. will suddenly be nothing more than a bunch of scrubs

Jesus. This guy on the right thinks losing Ariza and a minimum contract Mbah a Moute will subtract as many games as Lebron adds? This guy is a total clown.

I actually hope this narrative catches on. Better to be painted as an underdog than the team that's nipping at the Warriors' heels.

    That said...5th in the West?
