The Ebola outbreak is what it is largely because the Africans are utterly ignorant. They're doing things like literally breaking into hospitals to "rescue" the infected, leaving dead bodies in the streets, and refusing to reveal cases. None of that would happen here.

Yeah but most of us would listen to health experts during a crisis. They're primitive in a lot of ways

That's exactly what they're doing. And nobody should be surprised.

Aside from maybe avoiding travel to the parts of Africa where Ebola is prevalent, there's no need for anyone here in the US and in other parts of the world to be concerned about this.

One would hope so but this is the country where a lot of people still believe that vaccinations cause autism and refuse to vaccinate their kids.

Hey, they're free to have their own beliefs. And they're free to face the consequences of their beliefs.

I agree with the Centers for Disease Creation and Barack Ebola that we shouldn't be worried. They are the experts.. the same experts that didn't follow procedure and released live anthrax spores infecting 80+ people and found live anthrax spores in a storage closet. Nah not worried. It's not like they ever make mistakes or anything. Besides we can't get infected if they aren't swapping blood or french kissing patients right? Doctors that got infected and the thousands of others didn't get the memo obviously. I am sure they are checking everyone that comes through our porous borders.

all joking aside.. when the govt tells you not to be worried.. is time to be worried.

just watched Contagion again last night.. "We don't want anyone to know until everyone knows" great line.

Wouldn't the reason why they do... must like why the African people do what they do in the case of Ebola... be the precise definition of ignorance...?

If someone with AIDS had sex with you and didn't tell you about it because they "don't believe in AIDS," are you OK with that too? Will you approach that situation with similar sarcasm and snark? They're not doing anything malicious, they just don't believe in AIDS! Nothing wrong with that, right? They can still infect others, but since they don't believe they're infecting others, it's OK! Right? RIGHT? Freedom of belief, right? That's all it is! Perfectly fine! Right?

Their ignorance is literally killing themselves and others from the virus spreading.

Newsflash: When you get Ebola, you basically spurt blood and fluids everywhere.

Doctors have to stay next to those guys, because it's kind of their job and stuff. You don't.

So take off your tinfoil hat and stop stocking up on the canned goods. As has been observed, there's nothing to worry about as regards this.

Take off the tin foil hats people! They are just promoting this to direct our attention away from the zombie apocalypse which is obviously happening very soon.

I'm not worried but it is something to watch, especially when you see bs like the above from the CDC.

Ebola is spread through aerosol, this is documented. Although they say it is unlikely in humans it is still possible.

Here is a link to an article form "The Journal of Infectious Disease" where a CDC doctor states that it can be spread through aerosol, but the chances are small. I think it's bs that they can't be honest with the american public.

    http://jid.oxfordjournals.org/content/179/Supplement_1/ix.long

There are other reports also stating the same thing.

I saw all of the protective gear the doctors where wearing, and they still got it. The one guy was the director of the hospital. It just seems strange to me that they would get ebola, if it only spreads like aids.

We need to call in Bill Brasky to give Ebola back to the animals.
