You don't get the memo? If we have an all star, we are like the 94' Rockets championship team; if we don't have an all star, we are like the 04' Pistons championship team:)

You guys that call yourselves veterans or jump on the newbie bashing comments need to get a life. Just because he only has a few posts or hasn't been here long does not change the fact that reminiscing or hoping that our team could be comparable to the past championship teams is a hell of a lot better than reading the 10 million posts in the "we might have DH, or is it Bynum, or no one" thread that gets bumped daily with conflicting WRONG up to date tweets and arguments that run in circles. Was that a long enough run on sentence? That is exactly what all the DH/Bynum talks are like. It was actually refreshing to come in here and read something different no matter how wrong we do or don't think it is. Way to promote a fan base and get people to come in and talk about the team they love. When it all boils down to it, 99% of us are arm chair GMs that honestly don't know enough to have any real insight to what it takes to run a professional team. Some are just armed with more stats than others.

Sorry most of the time I let the comments slide, but it seems every new thread not started by one of the longest tenured members always turns into a newbie bashing thread. How about we let people talk basketball and leave the "my dong is bigger than your" comments for the bar?

This has to be a joke.
2004 Pistons would kill this team.
BTW, comparing Larry Brown to Kevin Mchale is an even bigger joke.

100% on the money. We've got about 40% of this board extrapolating some Summer League play into future WC All Stars. Guess no one recalls how much Dan Langhi tore up the SL before riding off into the sunset.

Why do people keep saying the 2004 Pistons are the only non-(all)star team to win the championship?? It's false and we're nothing like that team.

This thread could make a lot of sense in 3-4 years. If no major changes are made.
