You mean jump back right? FDR was pretty much a socialist president.

It has been, but Harris was the safer choice. Rice will be a top choice for Secretary of State.

u r confused. Pelosi has never run for. state wide election.

outside of the bay area, opponents of newsom and Feinstein were running campaign ads tying them w Willie Brown, who, outside of the Bay Area,
has had a reputation of being a greasy/unscrupulous politician. in state wide elections, Willie Brown was an albatross

Joe Biden lowered the wealth bar......

Trump has the most wealthy administration in US history. Lots of swamp.

Kamela seems safe, especially as the Trump campaign tries to make this about Portland/Chicago instead of the botched pandemic response. She's also very articulate so I'd imagine she'll be taking an outsized campaign role.

Given how powerful Pelosi is, he's still a California kingmaker. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But let's not split hairs....Newsom is governor. Brown was political allies with 4 term Feinstein. Harris is Senator.

What a ****ing bum... More like bum maker amirite?

    it's obvious that u don't know Cali.

if Brown is 1/2 as powerful as you had spin, he would have at least run for state office.

he has never done so because he knows that, outside of the bay are---in particular so cal, the states' most populous region,
he has a reputation of being a greasy/unscrupulous politician.

I know that Republicans have set the bar as low as humanly possible for Trump but I think progressives aspire to be a lot better than that.

I've been vocal about not wanting Harris to be the pick. It only took 10 minutes within the announcement--the time I needed to come to terms with my top 2 not getting it--that I became entirely happy about it.

We have our first Black and Asian woman on a ticket in American history. That is huge and I am hugely happy about it.

And Trump is ****ed. Black turnout was way down for Clinton/Kaine and it cost us the election. That won't happen this cycle. In fact, this ticket is likely have higher Black turnout than even for Obama.

It may even be the first time since JFK/LBJ that the VP pick actually tips a state or two.

I've been very, very confident about this election all year long but I've never been more confident than I am today.

Surely you can put more hysterical flavor into a post about Senator Harris than that. I'm disappointed!

I'm not sure why you're sticking with the idea that kingmakers need to be elected to higher office themselves. The man has a treasure trove of favors from an incredibly greasy career that ultimately opened more doors for the people mentioned more than having them closed.

It's convenient for Facts to become Spin when you've been repeating the same thing in every reply.

I'll let your superior knowledge of all things Cali tease that nugget out. :)

    any of these actually true?

“She is a person that’s told many many stories that weren’t true. She’s very big into raising taxes, she wants to slash funds for our military, at a level that nobody can even believe,” Trump said of Harris.

Trump went on to suggest that Harris would hurt Biden in swing states because she opposed fracking, a technique used to obtain gas and oil from shale rock. Harris has called for a halt to fracking.

“She’s against petroleum products. I mean, how do you do that and go into Pennsylvania, or Ohio, or Oklahoma, the great state of Texas,” Trump said, adding, “Fracking is a big deal.”

He described Harris, who has supported universal health care, as being “in favor of socialized medicine.”

Harris will play well to the suburban women that Biden has been pulling in so far (not in that way...get your minds out of the gutter). This will solidify him with that segment of the population...now, they need to do some work to get on the good side of progressives. The convention speech will be a must-watch to see what they can do on that front.

agreed...try to reel in as many angry Bernie Bros who are currently crying all over Twitter as possible

Trump himself is doing a great job of solidifying the Independents voter block for Biden with his nonstop nonsense
