If he didn't bow to public pressure and the economy tanked and people were in dire financial straits while people were still dying he would still be criticized.

And yet, it still isn't safe to open back up our economy in the United States while it is in so many other nations that handled the virus in a smarter and more competant way.

Had Trump not been denying the seriousness of the virus and claiming it was going to just disappear while not working to get testing done and supplies distributed, our economy would be able to open up too. If Americans are told they will have sacrifice and make the difficult decisions by an effective leader in order to help our nation handle the virus, people would do it. Americans always have. During WWII the rationing was a great example of that.

Like I said there are different circumstances for most nations. You cannot pretend to know all the nuances of culture, etc.

The main difference is that other nations had leadership that did a good job of leading and not trying to ignore virus when it first reared its head.

The United States has had capable leadership that made it through tough times before and had America at the forefront. That isn't the case now. You're making excuses while I'm examining results.

I'm watching Morning Joe and the understatement of the morning. Regarding Biden's statement on Latino and African Americans, "Biden said it unartfully"..

Biden is like Westbrook. There's plenty to admire but then there are a lot of WTF moments...

 

So Joe wants everyone to wear a mask outside for 3 months? I was going outside just get a break from wearing it at my office. Oh well, if the science backs it, lets do it.
