60 deaths in the state is still a tiny number compared to other regions. NY, a state with 1/3 fewer people than Texas, averaged roughly 1,000 deaths per day for an entire week.

Its pretty disingenuous to compare new york state to any other state in the country when NYC has one of the most elaborate, if not the most elaborate public transportation system in the world and the only city that runs a 24 hour train cycle in the world.

Manhattan also has the highest population density out of any county in the United States and higher than the density of any individual American city. 18 million of 19.4 million people in new york state live in nyc.

10,000,000 more people in Texas than NY.

You forgot to mention that Governor Cuomo sent positive covid patients into nursing homes. Great leadership.

um, not exactly. NYC's five boroughs add up to about 8+ million people: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_New_York_City

You will sometimes see estimates of the "NYC Metropolitan Area" which can include five or six cities in Connecticut to get a number of 18 or 20 million for the NYC area, depending on how they draw the boundaries of the "Metropolitan Area":

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_metropolitan_area

Most NY state population estimates peg the New York portion of the NYC metropolitan area to be about 13 million and about 6 million living upstate:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upstate_New_York#Demographics

Other than that, the point is well taken--NYC is one big ass city.

    What a elementary take.

beside what I mentioned already about public transport,

    Texas is 268,597 square miles.
New York is 54,556 square miles.

The largest city in texas is houston at 2.3 million and its 669 square miles.
That's approximately brooklyn. Brooklyn is 69.5 square miles.

It would seem pretty obvious which is a much higher risk for spreading an contagious infection but here we are....

Stop comparing NY yesterday to TX today. NY in Feb-April didn’t have the hindsight of NY. TX and everyone else did after April. Apple and oranges.

He will never be honest and in good faith say that he understands this. If he even acknowledges it will to only throw out a different argument.

Never mind. All you get is a “lol” apparently population density, mass transit, time to develop better treatments etc. none of it matters and is all laughable.

The BLM morons caused all these new cases. See graph below, and see the individual county data for Texas that perfectly tracks the BLM protests and riots! They owe us all an apology for destroying our cities, scaring civilized people, and growing the curve.

How are you using a graph of the entire united states to make your point. If every state followed the same protocol it would make sense. Numbers in places that opened early were already starting to trend up.

Cities like nyc, chicago, minnesota, seattle (places with a huge on going protest presence) have not seen the uptick and have even continue the downward trend. There are multiple countries that have protested with no uptick like the US as well.

Also, ill just leave this here.

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/tommyb...ause-spike-in-coronavirus-cases/#318b36aa7dac

Protests against systemic racism held in 300-plus U.S. cities following the death of George Floyd did not cause a significant increase in coronavirus infections, according to a team of economists who have published their findings in a 60-page paper released by the National Bureau of Economic Research

In fact, they determined that, based on cellphone data, “cities which had protests saw an increase in social distancing behavior for the overall population relative to cities that did not,” leading to “modest evidence of a small longer-run case growth decline.”

Its also pretty noticeable how the majority of protesters were wearing masks where as.....

Educate people here, then keep them here. Why are we educating people to help other countries? Just deport one of our homegrown lazy dumb-dumbs in exchange.

Over 300,000 US student study abroad. Why are other countries educating US students?

The BLM protesters and looters had very few masks and they were not social distancing. It's a fantasy to think that these groups can socialize and violate social distancing without spreading (libs' rules). They were superspreaders but the media is too scared to insult this protected class of 'victims'. The media run cover to avoid undermining a 'useful' movement to the DNC (BLM simply used as unsuspecting pawns to bring in $$$ to ActBlue).

You can't make excuses for the BLM crew violating every possible COVID rule and then maintain a shred of dignity when scolding the rest of society for wanting to go to church.
