Yankees will miss the playoffs, mark my words. I was thinking that this morning before news on Severino. That rotation isn’t that great as a whole. I’m thinking their lineup also regresses. Call it a hunch.

Boston, I heard, is projected to win 85 games. If that holds, think Yankees cant win 86? Or you think Rays take division?

Rays are the 2nd best team in that division, but even without Severino NY is projected to win the division by 5-6 games. They’d have to lose Torres, Judge, or Cole to really be expected not to win the division.

Cole unlikely to top last season... only because it was that dominant.

I think Boston will revert back to the mean and improve, even without Mookie and Tampa should be very good again. Lemahiue had a career year. I think he regresses. Stanton could fall off of the face of the earth and become the new Chris Davis at anytime. Dude swings and misses a lot. I actually think their rotation implodes, except Cole will probably be good, although that’s not as automatic as you might think. Cole was mediocre before he got with the Strom program. Don’t underestimate the importance of that.

Am I the only one that thinks these two delays can't be a good thing for the Red Sox? "Something came up and we had to reinterview some folks..." That doesn't sound good. It sounds more like the reinterviewed folks must have held something back.

It's surely wrong on my part, but I'd love to see the book thrown at the Sox and for someone else to be burned in effigy at least for a week or two. Or to expose more hypocrisy, if they don't mistreat the Sox with the same energy.

"Before we slap you guys on the wrist, we need to make absolutely sure that none of the other stuff is gonna leak. We were getting some snitch vibes, so we need to cover all our bases"

    From Twitter account BostonStrong...
1.MLB is done interviewing players for the Red Sox investigation but they still have an schedule last interview with Alex Cora for today or tomorrow.
    2. Jon Heyman reports that there’s “no big reason” why the Red Sox investigation has been delayed, the results are now expected to be announced *maybe* next week.

When does the Yankees investigation start? Or is that a taboo subject for mlb and Manfred? Surely everybody knows Beltran set up the same system for them during the '19 season.

Not a good start for Urquidy. Has been struggling with his command and then gave up a 2 run homer.

Makes sense. :-( Also, if the hammer was going to drop hard it would probably make sense to rush getting it done before ST gets too far going.
