I knownthe TNT guys are crapping on this win because they don’t buy that this system will work long term and frankly I’m reluctant to buy it even though I saw how effective it was. We shot lights out for a change (except Harden) and I juts don’t new see that happening regularly but if it does we’d be unstoppable RoCo at this level regularly is a massive upgrade on Clint defensively and on O as well for spreading the floor, biggest worry Ian rebounding and second chance points thats a biggie Pretty amazed we held the lead for most of the game that may have been the most impressive thing about this win !
Got flashes of that 17-18 insane, intense switching defense! Despite shooting poorly, as lots of people already pointed out, Harden took what the Lakers gave him and didn't force a thing. Even with some of those shitty foul calls that were being called on him, the Beard didn't get frustrated and played hard on both ends. I still maintain that he's an above average defender when he has energy and is focused. He got a good rest tonight, too. Tucker, Sefolosha, and Covington seem like a good defensive triumvirate...Caboclo is intriguing too, with his length and purported athleticism (I've yet to see him really use it, but I'm keeping an open mind). Gordon, House and Rivers are also solid defensively, and Mclemore surprises me sometimes with his defense. I know that we'll be losing the rebounding battle more often than not, but if we can play every night with the effort that we played with tonight, I see us being hard for anybody to beat. And this is with Covington not even having time to learn the sets! Wow! Oh and Russ was a f*cking monster tonight. Love his energy, hustle, and attitude. And Harden is happy to share the limelight, his body language was awesome all game. I think being able to rest more will rejuvenate him (35 minutes tonight) and he'll be super-saiyan James Harden going forwards. So much for "dribbler". Our two best players are both team players, and the team played awesome today. Now if you'll excuse me I need to take a cold shower.
that was the best boxing out the Rockets have done on the boards for a long time. We have been crying out for them to do that all season. Lakers only got 6 offensive rebounds
