Na, the last team to enter the league is supposed to be dominate. Doesn't matter that NFL teams have to walk before they run. It took the Oilers 39 years to MAKE a Superbowl. Browns have never made one (Championships before the merger don't count). Bucs, Jags, and Lions have never been. It's been over 30 years for the Bengals. There are teams that haven't been in over 20 years. There are teams that had success in their 1st 15-20 years of existence, but have been back in 40 years (Vikings) or 35 years (Miami). It is HARD to make and WIN a Superbowl. However, the Texans are supposed to be different.....even when the league put them behind the eight ball with restrictions coming in as an expansion team. Yes.....they have plodded their way to consistent playoffs and everyone wants them to be better. Some of you need perspective.

Uh the Bucs won the SB in 2003. And who cares about the Jags, Lions, Bengals, etc..? We don’t want to be one of those teams, they don’t want to be one of those teams.

    Browns....not Bucs. lol.

You right.....forgot about the Bucs. They fired Dungy and gave Gruden his only claim to fame. Once Dungy players left, Gruden couldn't do anything.

However, except for that brief period with Dungy/Gruden, The Bucs have done nothing in this league.

Texans have not even played in their 20th season yet. They are long way from that. People laugh, but getting in the playoffs every year is the way to build forward. You have to learn how to win before you can become champions.

For the most part, this is accurate, however, TB did make the NFC Championship game in their 4th season.

O'B is still a dunderhead with a massive ego.

Only shot the Texans have is Deshaun making some great improvements.

You're assuming that the Texans will eventually get there with due time when your previous post about the Brown, Jags, Lions, etc...show that it isn't necessarily the case. Sure we can look at those teams as examples we don't want to be those teams. No one is saying we need to be the Patriots either, but why not the Chiefs or 49ers? Those teams (as they are built today) are no more seasoned than we are really. Hell majority of the 49ers starters had never even played in a playoff game, let alone played one with each other.

Yes you need to learn how to win and making the playoffs are certainly steps in the right direction. But all sports, especially the NFL, is all about seizing windows of opportunities. There is so much year to year turnover that if you blow your window, you'll be right back to "learning how to walk" again. Good ownership and coaches seize their windows or make new ones all together, there's no reason why we shouldn't expect the Texans to do the same.

In the grand scheme of things, it was a good season the 2019 season. But the ownership should have considered it a Crossroads of sorts. Many franchises have been here before, stay with what's comfortable or take a leap of faith to get this franchise over the hump by going against what's comfortable.

I have a feeling that Mahomes and the Chiefs will the hurdle the Texans won't be able to get past in the playoffs. Similar to how Brady and the Patriots were. Especially with Bill O'Brien getting outcoached.

Meh. The Chiefs weren't exactly this unbeatable force this year, and while Mahomes was great, I didn't come away from last night thinking he's invincible. The Texans won't beat the Chiefs because our team is run by a bunch of mouth-breathing buffoons, but Andy Reid certainly isn't Bill Belichick, and the Chiefs aren't exactly on tap to win 5-6 more of these things.

So basically the chiefs are the warriors and Texans are the rockets.

Pffft. Texans are not the Rockets, a better analogy would b like Texans r any Eastern Conference NBA teams (Hawks, wizards, bulls, magic) that gets into the playoffs for a participation ribbon, have no chance for the ring, just to get ass blasted by a superior team.

Sooo the rockets then I mean rockets have prolly had more embarrassing flops in the playoffs considering they make it more in league that always 8 teams to get in and fall short I mean they have went out sad in every elimination game in the harden era

at this point giving O’Brien the GM title Dumb as it is he would have just b****** about another GM to cal so now he can’t do that pretty much all on him no one else to throw under the bus No offensive coordinator since he is that he can ignore media questions all he want but he can’t hide anymore

If his **** doesn't work next year there are exactly zero excuses for him, the organization, and his defenders.

    Bring it.

The way this franchise is going why not just go out and sign Antonio brown to a 1 year deal. We need all the weapons we can get. What’s the worst that can happen? Cut him if he becomes a distraction

Rockets went further in playoffs, while Texans have gotten ass blasted every single time. U can't really compare the two due to the simple fact that Rockets have went further in playoffs while Texans have yet to go anywhere. Hence why Texans are really similar to the sht eastern team that gets in via lack of quality team, gets a participation ribbon and proceed to get ass blasted.
