That's where this was all headed before Crane decided to inflict more damage to his own front office than MLB did. There is no doubt the Astros have been beaten to death for an issue that is plaguing the entire league (which is very unfair) - that is why I wanted Crane to show some moxie, let Luhnow and Hinch serve their time then return to business as usual. No need to punish the franchise above and beyond what the MLB already dished out. Of all that has went wrong in this investigation, I am most disappointed in Crane.
lol. Yes, lets go back to the dark ages again and ignore that just about every successful team has copied what the Astros did to find talent.
You mean tanking for 3 straight years and developing talent? Wow. Didn't know the Marlins stole from the Astros 10 years ago...BTW the Marlins have accomplished more anyway.
What did the Astros do with analytics to improve Verlander, Cole, and Pressly? They used analytics to turn Cole and Verlander the two best pitchers in baseball. They were both good, but they took their games to another level with the Astros. Pressly was a middle of the road reliever and became one of the best in baseball before he was injured. Almost forgot that the Astros used analytics to transform Charlie Morton into an elite pitcher at the end of his career. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/h...chers-in-baseball-in-just-one-hour-2019-10-15 https://www.mlb.com/news/how-astros-analytics-improved-their-pitchers-c297698084 https://www.beyondtheboxscore.com/2...ominant-strikeouts-whiffs-sequencing-location
I know what it means but i'm not 100% convinced analytics is what makes this team great. The talent is what makes it great.
Please read. Best article on how the Astros use analytics to find players they can improve. https://www.theringer.com/mlb/2019/6/3/18644512/mvp-machine-how-houston-astros-became-great-scouting
