[Passan] Luhnow and Hinch suspended one year

I liked Crane before..but I respect the hell out of him for this.

I just saw the posts about AJ and Luhnow getting the boot. That's some bullsh** for real.

 

WOW......the hammer was dropped.

 

Gonna lose out on Ground Control and all the analytics that he brought

 

I'm guessing it was all the findings on team culture that were most influential...this isn't the only crap we've dealt with this offseason that weren't a good look for the Astros...this one being far and away the worst. Massive investment and he's reaching into control culture and make sure there's a period on the end of this sentence as quickly as possible.

 

You need to be incredibly naive to think the Astros are the sole culprits and thus have a tainted title.

 

Crane: "We had a problem. We tried to do all we could to fix it. You know what I mean. They're gone.

So, uh, does Mike Fiers have any dirt on Bill O'Brien?

 

Luhnow and Hinch fired while Bill keeps his job.

Losing Luhnow hurts.

 

They aren't and will be the only team with this severe of a punishment. MLB won't go down hard on the Red Sox (or Dodgers, Yankees, etc.), at all. If they do and I'm wrong, then kudos to the MLB but doubt it happens.

OMG, he fired them? ****ing p***y. Well, you just destroyed your franchise, Crane. Should have fought against this ridiculously over-the-top punishment. Instead, you caved like a soft piece of ****.

 

Hell no. It’s time shove it up Manfred’s ass by winning the American League again and finishing the job in the World Series this season.

 

I get it with Hinch. Even though I think the guy is great, he at least did something wrong here. But from ESPN, it sounds like the MLB report basically said Lunhow was unaware of anything and was suspended because he's the head of the organization. If that's true, I don't think that's good leadership on Crane's part - he basically just threw a guy under the bus for not really doing anything wrong. And it's not something he should have had any reason to be aware of, really. We could say Crane is similarly guilty of just not knowing what's going on under his leadership.

 

Cora will get a big one as well. But it’ll be interesting to see whether they just pin that to the Astros or if they continue to investigate the Red Sox.
