We will never see a better baseball team in Houston. What a great team. The end blows, but that's sports and that's life. God Bless Charlie Morton.

It's incredibly difficult to make it all the way to the World Series. 162 games to earn 1 of only 4 postseason spots, then hope you're hotter than the other teams, that the matchups and breaks go your way. It's something special to witness. And that's why you celebrate it, winning the pennant. And the Astros have done it twice in the last three years. Came up short of winning it all sure. But I wouldn't call this season a failure c'mon.

It sucks that what should have been an all time performance by Greinke gets overshadowed in the end. Hell of a performance, couldn’t really ask for much more from him.

After reflecting on what just happened it really hurts more.

Let's be real, this team was underperforming all post season and got by on talent alone. The offense was never there. It seemed... "Off". We always said the bats will get hot, but they never did. This game showed everything that was wrong with our postseason. Failure to capitalize with runners left on base over and over again. It was infuriating.

We left 60 runners on base this series.... ****ing 60

Yes we won 107 games, yes this team had a great regular season, but ultimately we choked. Choked hard.

We are the first team in all professional sports to not win a single home game in a 7 game series.

05 was easier to swallow because we just got straight up beat. We got swept. Right now, 05 is an afterthought.

    This? We beat ourselves.

I'm disappointed that we came up short but am still proud of this team. Baseball and sports can be weird and to quote a great philosopher, "It's hard making predictions, especially about the future." A lot of people have been comparing us to the Braves of the 90's but also think about the A's of the late 80's-early 90's those were great teams loaded with Hall of Famers such as Dennis Eckersly, Dave Stewart, and Rickey Henderson and they could only manage one WS win. Think about the 2001 Mariners that won 116 games but didn't even make it to the WS.

The excellence and tenacity shown by this team over a 162 game season and three very long playoff series shows how good of a team this is. It's unfortunate that we ran into a team that was pretty much a team of destiny..

One more thought to put things in perspective. Given everything that has happened in the last 48 hours would you rather be an Astros fan or a Twins fan?

To be this good every year, you have to take advantage and walk away with some titles. Having multiple playoff and WS appearances and winning only one during this era simply isn't enough.

Thank You Astros for the great season. Its amazing how high you have risen the standard of expectations for this team. Simply squeaking into the Playoffs are not enough during this era. Its WS or bust.

4 out of the past 5 championships have gone through Houston: 2015 Royals (ALDS), 2017 Astros, 2018 Red Sox (ALCS), 2019 Nationals (World Series). Just an amazing run and still can't help but wish we had more than one title (so far) to show for this era of Astros excellence.

    Go 'stros!!

Kind of crazy when you think about it, Sports is the only profession where being 2nd best gets you the criticism it does. I appreciate this team even if they failed to win the one game that mattered.

Just went cold at the wrong damn time, you hate to see it.

You only get criticism if you lose unexpectedly...if the Nats had lost I don’t think a single person including their own fans would have criticized them for coming in 2nd.

Edit: And sports isn’t the only profession coming in 2nd gets criticized...you think the Fortune 500 CEOs bringing home $10M+ annually don’t get criticized for not being perfect? The last CEO at my company brought our stock to an all time high back in 2014 - then the O&G market tumbled in 2015 and he was gassed less than two years later. Soon after that the new CEO picked off nearly every other C Level exec and brought in his own team...let’s see how long they last now.
