Cole saved some face. His outing is now "very bad" instead of completely terrible. Top of the lineup incoming. Let's score a couple.
man, we might as well be down 10 runs. The way the Astros are hitting, it feels like a huge mountain to climb.
Just accept the loss guys, it's less painful that way. Does anybody really think that this **** show of an offense can score four more runs?
On the positive side, Cole looked good this inning getting some swinging strikes. Hopefully that carries over into his next start.
Top of the order has looked good with the exception of Bregman. They need to do something this time through.
Playoffs two years ago I was always incredibly confident the team, the bats, could come back from anything. And they did. This postseason I'm somewhat confident. Regardless of the outcome of this game, we need a JV pick-me-up tomorrow. These Nats making me feel like 2017 Astros and I don't like that.
The posteason Astros bats are worse than the Detroit Tigers. Let that sink in. If this contuines throughout the WS, fire the ****ing hitting coach.
Each of these pitching matchups is basically a pick em. I think we have the better roster most of the time but in just one random matchup there isn’t a significant advantage. This years Cole probably shuts them down 9 out of 10 times. They just got the 1. Going to be a stressful week.
I don't know if it was catchable, and MLB.com is terrible about getting video up during playoff games I've noticed, so I can't check. If it wasn't catchable, it certainly was playable off the wall, which might have saved a run. I'm sure it was somewhere in the middle, which messed up Brantley, and I also would not be surprised if any of our other three outfielders could have gotten it. Oh well.
