This is what we get with a globalized economy now. The national market is tapped out. Not much of what they do is going to change US revenue. China is where the "growth money" is. An extra million dollars keeps celebrities warmer than having an opinion on someone else's misfortune.

    Yeah that and also GREED.

LeBron was destined to become a billionaire from the day he signed his first Nike contract in high school without ever having to set a foot in China or anywhere else, but that was not enough.

    I agree 100%.

Millionaires crave more millions. And agents are the parasites that feed on their % of it.

If Morey's tweet causes major changes for the NBA, China-US relations, exposure of what is happening in Hong Kong, people opening up their eyes and put morality, freedom of speech and justice over money then this is all a huge win. The world cannot continue with this capitalistic system, with the money and power in the hands of a few, with superpowers abusing it and violating human rights in the process and the people have very little influence in the whole process. One of the chips that needs to fall is the world economy, which already collapsed and openend people's eyes with the Goldman Sachs scandal, but continues unabatedly. Unfortunately, too many people have chosen money already with James Harden and Lebron James at the forefront.

Not surprising, but very disappointing. They should feel comfortable speaking out with the millions they have, but money breeds greed. Look at Kaepernick, made his millions and then decided to take a knee. Refused to come back to the NFL and now making millions with Nike. He took a chance, because he had money and now is back to making it so it shouldn't that big of a deal for these NBA athletes to speak up, especially after all the threats by China. Their only fear is money loss and getting to travel to China for a nice little foreign country experience, signing autographs and eating Kung Pow Chicken. Sad..

That is fine if you want to keep quiet I mean Harden has no comment and Curry actively ducked when asked.

The problem with what LeChina did is he was trying to silence Morey and essentially telling him to shut up and GM. He wasnt just bending the knee to China he was taking arms to serve China. That's a big disgrace IMO considering he was LeHumanRights just a month ago.

Lebron just got exposed big time as a huge sellout I guess all these colleges who hate his fair pay to play act were taking the wrong approach they should have gone for Nike and Lebron's checkbook first thing he started campaigning for the bill. If that happens I guess Lebron would suddenly supercede Tebow as the face of amateurism in college.
