    Unless the Democrats are total ****ing idiots, which I'm not putting past them, they just got handed the campaign issue/slogan/soundbite to hammer away with like John ****ing Henry in every farm state in America.

    If recent history is an indication..... The master of chaos will likely end up with a deal, a deal that is essentially close to the status quo from before all this started. And he would market it as a great big beautiful accomplish. A master deal maker move.

    In addition, whatever deal he comes up with will likely be harder to enforce even though it's a status quo deal.

    I'm sure once this is all finalized (if?) someone will do a comprehensive study on what his easy to win trade wars have cost the US, and also project out what gains we should expect in the future.

    I am not expecting a lot of black among those numbers.

    I don't know the data to comment on this. But he is willing to play down HK, which is very much unlike him if he is played by China in this deal. I have to assume the deal points have to be met in principle, otherwise you wouldn't see him that way.

    Oh well, it's Trump. So who knows, he is not rational.

    The fact that the gains were so minimal on Friday tells us all we need to know about how serious Wall Street takes Trump at this point.

    As someone who currently can contest since their house has been up for sale for 2 months now... everyone is bracing for a recession. Trump cannot stop the train he set blazing down the tracks months ago with a fake trade agreement.
