Is it going to be Cards and Nationals in the NLCS? Could be. Just hope it is not NY and Tampa in the ALCS. Astros, focus! Break out of the hitting mini slump! Ten runs in the first would be nice.
Yeah, the Nats look like the Astros in the last two games: out of sync, nothing seems to go anywhere, frustrating.
In fairness, Kershaw last dominant year was really 2016, and the Dodgers as team have been so much better in the past 3 years. They didn't have enough pieces in his true dominant years. However, he hasn't really evolved as a pitcher in awhile. His pitches were just so good initially that he didn't have to.
Not going to pretend that I know the Dodgers bullpen as well as I know the Astros'... but are they really that devoid of back of the bullpen talent that they expected Kershaw to finish the game (something that I'm not sure he's ever done?).
They have use him from the bullpen a lot in the playoffs in past few years. I thought they do still have some good bullpen arms, though.
