Why do you feel bad for Houston? The only fans that are losing anything are the fans in China. I think it’s for the best. The NBA gets to prove that freedom of speech is more important than money, and China can prove that controlling its citizens is more important than human rights.
DM supporting freedom isn’t a mistake though. China banning the NBA because they don’t like freedom is a mistake. Do you think China will correct their mistake anytime soon? I hope you get to watch the NBA, even though your government made a mistake.
Morey's capacity as the Rockets's GM is safe as far as being fired. He may quit in disgust to the whole thing, but in my opinion he shouldn't.
Yes, it wasn’t worth it for him to tweet about this, but China is still overreacting. Temporarily banning nba preseason games is more than enough for them to understand and I’m sure no one else would be making any comments. Banning the entire NBA is just way overboard.
From Chairman Mao : - whoever will attempt to use force and stop any students revolutions, they are not going to end well. - For a government that’s not elected by its own people, what is the honor it will have to represent its own people? To love a country like this, it’s treason.
for years I used to live in a nearby neighborhood 5 mins away from his resto. wanted to try but heard it was very ordinary. maybe the chinese gov't will force him to close it down.
Seriously. All of this over one tweet. China is embarrassing itself with the tantrum its showing. To ban an entire league for the opinion of 1 person seems ludicrous. Is the business in China worth it at this point? Unfortunately, with this escalation, only solution is if Morey voluntarily steps down to defuse the crisis.
honestly tho, how pissed off do you think $ilver is at mauri behind the scenes? maybe gave him a mouthful?
I don't really have a horse in this race, but this is all kinds of awesome. More like over an overreaction regarding a tweet that was quickly deleted, i.e. self-censored.
