Yes, you can listen to what people say, interpret it through the lens of your own life experience, and decide if its true or not. It's not mindless. But, you aren't judging the evidence. You're judging the credibility of the people who evaluated the evidence, and any messengers that intercede between you and the people who evaluated the evidence. It seems a conceit to say one should disregard the authorities and make up your own mind when all your information comes from the authorities. At some level, you are placing your trust in them -- that he had broken bones, that he's dead, that he was probably a pedophile, that indeed he was ever alive in the first place. You know all this stuff second-hand and chide others for trusting authority.

Not saying you should just accept the medical examiner's word that it was a suicide, or his lawyer's word that it wasn't. Decide for yourself. But even if you guess right, you are basically still guessing.

Epstein's story from what journalist have printed, appears to be an unscrupulous entrepreneur that used insider trading and blackmail to amass a personal fortune he spent on pedophilic abuse, for his personal pleasure and to expand his blackmail influence. By association and by inference from the Secretary of Labor and then US District Attorney Acosta, he appears to be connected to some National Intelligence Agency(s). That 'association' most likely got him a sweetheart deal in his 2007 conviction where the sentencing terms and lack of victim's notification appear to way out of the range of normal DOJ guidelines.

The story seemed to recede from examination for years until public perception began to change, now adult witnesses pressed the issue and one dogged newspaper reporter dredged the weirdness back from the dead and new charges were filed. The impending trial promised public exposure of events involving billionaires, politicians and perhaps covert intelligence operations. But Mr. Epstein's death, only made possible by an improbable, almost unexplainable series of events, likely ended the public examination of his life, associations and events benefiting several entities of great wealth and power.

Do we know he was murdered? Of course not, even the honest investigator may not know what evidence is real and what evidence was created or destroyed. And they wouldn't tell us anything but provable facts, because the legal forces aligned against them will be the most powerful money can buy. So, we aren't going to "know" anything, but we aren't stupid. I think at the very least, Mr. Epstein's suicide was coerced and abetted.

    Public record?
Rights of discovery for victims civil suits?

I know why a party would request it, but I can't see a judge upholding it? It's the Juvenile's that want it unsealed

Could John Doe be a US intelligence agency claiming State's Secrets about the blackmail/spy scheme?

The documents also included flight logs showing Trump flew on Epstein’s private plane in 1997. Clinton already was known to have flown on Epstein’s plane multiple times.

That would be surprising, @KingCheetah, because Steve Mnuchin does not in any way look super creepy or like he would have creepy friends.

The issue i have is this. The type of people that would want Epstein dead are the type of people who could have someone killed in a way that looks like suicide to a coroner.

And somehow every other method of confirmation was disabled, both hall and room cameras, cell mate was removed, guards were asleep, all of it. How does the most important prisoner in the US die in a way that can only be confirmed by a coroner?

Now then there's the whole issue of "what" Epstein is, he seemed like a character, someone hired to be preconceived persona.

The problem I have, is that there are people who could do it, isn't proof or evidence that a crime was committed.

As long as the courts are still considering the cases, why do we need to keep talking about him?

I'm just saying with recent events all of that is on the back burner. I know it's still playing out but you don't hear much about it in the news anymore.

Trump again takes all the oxygen in the room. But, I'm betting at the next step forward in the cases involving him, it'll be front page news again.
