Morey stuffed by Silver, Nene's likely bonuses rejected

How are the contract rules including trades enforced? With more language. Morey used the CBA and it's own language to create this deal. Enforcing "spirit of the rule" clause is bullshit and is too ambiguous for a legal document.

I feel like this has been answered but just to make sure, @ch44 @BimaThug :
There is no way to make Nene’s contract worth $10 million in outgoing salary by the trade deadline? Even if it’s $10 million on the books or we somehow guarantee that full amount?

 

Taking up the roster spot and costing us that much money is pretty brutal.
If this stands, I don’t know why I’m saying if, but since it will, isn’t Morey a little to blame here? Should he have not ran this by the league before attempting? That is atrocious. This really messes with our summer.

Also. Don’t we have Nenes bird rights? And aren’t teams usually allowed to re-structure signings? Wouldn’t it make more sense to restructure this as a $10 mil contract guaranteed?

They will try to improve the team but they will also make moves that are money-driven.
