Brilliant: Trump says EPA to issue notice to San Francisco on homeless

Well, somebody has to do something here. Because the Democrat left leaders of California apparently are not up to the challenge of dealing with this problem, without being supervised closely on the matter by the Trump administration.

Is this the utopia that we have to look forward to under Democrat leftist (globalist) rule? Feces all over the streets, used syringes, and people passed out on the sidewalks. It increasingly looks like it. Fortunately, our federal government does not believe that this is acceptable at all.

Trump says EPA to issue notice to San Francisco on homeless

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will issue a notice in less than a week to the city of San Francisco over its homelessness problem and attendant pollution. Trump and officials in San Francisco and Los Angeles have been at odds over what the president believes is their failure to tackle the growing number of people living on the streets.

“They’re in serious violation,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One. “They have to clean it up. We can’t have our cities going to hell.”

Trump said the issue was an environmental one because “tremendous pollution”, including syringes used by homeless addicts to inject drugs, was flowing into the Pacific Ocean from Bay Area cities.

This is brilliant.

It puts the EPA to work on some especially egregious environmental problems that are occurring in the 'wokest' Democrat governed cities in America.

It properly focuses attention on the poor environmental stewardship of the Democrat leftists in government, who claim to be deeply concerned about the environment, but as we can plainly see, are no such thing.

It properly focuses attention on the long term failure of the political stewardship of elected Democrats in these areas, just like President Trump did earlier in the year when he pointed out what a 'Rodent infested mess' that Elijah Cummings home city of Baltimore is.

It properly focuses attention on the ghastly economic vision that the Democrat left has for the less fortunate, which is also on display in the ghetto areas of these cities as well.

All this while the state of California has announced that it will file a lawsuit against the EPA with regards to its revocation of California's authority to compose nationwide vehicle standards for all 50 states in contradiction of the US Constitution and national law.

The Democrat left has failed these communities consistently and for a long period of time in spectacular fashion. How much more does anybody need to see to realize this? Fortunately, this move by President Trump will help call their attention to this very troubling truth.

I wouldn't be surprised if rural regions where opiod addiction has wrecked havoc is one of the main sources of homelessness in urban centers. Urban centers have the infrustructure from public squares and parks to soup kitchens and shelters.

Anyways, I would like to ask @MojoMan if he thinks Trump is doing this out of altruistic desires to help the homeless population or if he's doing this because of partisan reasons? I would also like to ask @MojoMan what he would if of Obama insulted prominent GOP politicians like Mitch McConnell while calling his state Kentucky infested and disgusting and then decided to make a public spectacle about "investigating, the massive poverty and drug addiction in Kentucky?

What if Democrat politicans started calling the worst states in terms of public education and poverty such as Alabama, Mississippi, West Virginia, Kentucky shitholes and infested and then followed that up with "investigations"? Do you think those Democrat politicians would be doing it out of sincerity or partisan poo flinging?

Yep. The biggest cities are run by democrats and are desirable to live, more so than Republican ran strongholds which have basically become fly over states.

Of course San Francisco, L.A, New York, etc etc aren't perfect, but they are at least 50x better anywhere in Alabama.

Will Trump sign on to Bernies Housing For All plan?

White House hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Wednesday released a $2.5 trillion plan to guarantee housing for every American.

Sanders said the plan would “guarantee every American — regardless of income — a fundamental right to a safe, decent, accessible, and affordable home” and would be paid for by a wealth tax on the top one-tenth of 1 percent of income earners.

“There is virtually no place in America where a full-time minimum wage worker can afford a decent two bedroom apartment. At a time when half of our people are living paycheck to paycheck, this is unacceptable,” he said. “For too long the federal government has ignored the extraordinary housing crisis in our country. That will end when I am president.”

Sanders’s plan seeks to invest $1.48 trillion over 10 years in the National Affordable Housing Trust Fund to build and maintain 7.4 million “quality, affordable and accessible housing units” that he says will eliminate the gap in affordable housing for the lowest-income renters. It would also invest another $400 billion to build 2 million mixed-income social housing units.

He also intends to use the plan to end homelessness by prioritizing 25,000 National Affordable Housing Trust Fund units to house the homeless in his first year in office and provide $500 million to state and local governments to help connect the homeless to case management and social services.

The citizens of that city are going to vote out their woke officials like they did their woke school board
