Don't forget the last time we beat LSU was 2003 with Cedric Benson, Chris Simms and Roy Williams! Beat Nick Saban !
Depth chart released today. No big surprises really. True Freshman Jake Smith will get first crack at PR which is pretty ballsy. Kid is electric though.
Really liked what I saw from the first team OL, Ingram, and some of the young guys on defense - Ossai, Overshown, and the DL (I think Sweat had a few snaps). Secondary needs to do better stopping the run and underneath plays. Boyce and Estell didn’t look great at CB, IMO. Give me Cook or Jamison. Bring on LSU - I think it’s going to be a great one.
A lot of missed tackles by the DBs too. They’ll need to tighten things up quickly for next week. The offense looks tuned up which is good, but the RB depth is scary
The team overall looks good. Ehlinger needs to learn how to get the ball off faster if he ever wants to be an NFL quarterback.
Some rough times for Longhorns in the NFL Malik Jefferson cut. Lil’Jordan Humphrey cut. Sam Acho cut. Andrew Beck cut. Marcus Johnson cut. P.J. Locke cut Chris Nelson cut Patrick Vahe cut. Davante Davis cut. Tyrone Swoopes cut. D'Onta Foreman cut. Kris Boyd continues forth.
Of all those, none are shocking, but I'd put LjH on the practice squad, tell him to gain 20 lbs, and turn him into a hybrid TE/HB.
Surprised Malik couldn’t make a squad. Not sure if another year under Orlando would’ve helped him but couldn’t have hurt either.
That sucks. When I heard he had been dealing with the same injury since HS I figured this was inevitable though.
