lol. I like McGrady as a player but that shot was so terrible it made Allen Iverson blush. Our offense and depth were so terrible from 06 to 08. Brooks/Landry/Scola were fun to root for though.
Not a play of major consequence, but Aaron Brooks finishing an alley oop was pretty great. Against the Lakers, I think? (Update: I think this is the same play @Mirri3000 mentioned at the top of this thread)
THE BEST OF THIS ERA SO FAR I still remember it being late at night and I was so f’in loud I must’ve woken up the entire neighborhood. The death stare and remark towards donkey is what makes this so special !!
For me it was Motombo laying on his back squeezing the rebound as Denver eliminated Seattle. I watched that on crappy TV reception while at work, then realized Rockets were now the top seed with home court the rest of the way. That was 1994...you know the rest.
Here's a play that gets lost in the shuffle a little bit. Von Wafer's crazy playoff dunk against the Blazers in Yao's last full year. I loved the fight in that team. I still believe that had Yao (and Mutombo) not gone down, the championship was ours.
I was at this game. I was 17 years old. I remember when Hakeem hit that 3 it just felt like we had an unstoppable god on our team. Like there was literally nothing he couldn't do and literally nothing anyone could ever do to stop him. It felt like we were going to win 100 straight championships with the immortal Hakeem Olajuwon leading us.
