This photo perfectly explains his Nba career boring and unimportant. It also explains his playoff experience; deadpan or just plain dead.

If we're going with coaches I'll say Kevin Mchale.

Rudy T still not being in the hall is a joke. Especially when you have McGrady in there. Rudy T's playing career got screwed over from a sucker punch (and he still came back for an all-star season after that awful hit), T-Mac just dumped over a trashcan. But then you look at the coach accolades, McGrady isn't going to be an NBA coach (he probably wouldn't get out of the 1st round), and... he certainly isn't going to get anything in the Olympics.

Don't get me wrong McGrady was fun to watch play but I personally think he wasted an opportunity. Yes, I'm aware of the back issues but I also don't think he put in the work some of these other players do (I could be wrong but I doubt it). I think he coasted a lot because he was so good, at least that's what it seemed like when he lost playoff leads. His only winning playoff series as a Rocket was in a suit from the bench, and then... On the Spurs as basically a dude in a jersey (obviously he probably was still in the percent of a percent of the world's population for bball, but not winning 1 series on your own/major player has to suck).

And yet Chuck Daly is in. Similar NBA coaching records, but Rudy was also an All-American player in college and a multi-time All-Star in the NBA. Daly never played college or pro ball.

    Rudy's non-inclusion is a f$#king travesty.

Yes, definitely agree, I was going to mention Daly but didn't bother, he came to mind though, so great extra point on this, and I seriously don't get it either.

I mean Rudy worked hard for it, grew up in Hamtramck, MI (so basically Detroit), and definitely didn't have an easy journey. His history mirrors a lot of the guys who came from having a hard life and making it in the pros and more.

I certainly am not calling out any particular player here (that didn't work for it or had it easier etc.), I just think it adds to the mess of him not being in the hall. Coaching alone should have been enough, but then his career in bball as a player was no joke. That's why a lot of guys they let in are either very recent NBA or some guy that should have been in first ballot back in the day but instead they wait until they've passed away or it's so far overdue that the avg fan wouldn't even remember the guy. The hall is a joke on some of their selections because there's plenty of these stories for sure.
