Well, didn't Presti just give away a superstar for absolutely nothing? In fact, pardon my French, but losing 4 whole "f#ck_ng" superstars in their prime without any serious injuries in less than a decade, almost warrants firing for the average man or GM. When has Morey ever done, anything utterly ridiculous?
What about Westbrook having no market, Presti trying for weeks nobody offering anything, Presti has to give up assets!
That was the case. Phoenix Chicago... nobody wanted him. Not even Miami until they got Butler. And we didn't want him either. We weren't interested in Westbrook until George was traded and Westbrook called Harden and Harden started pushing for it. Harden made a market for Westbrook. Isn't that stupid? (Harden's pacifiers keep getting more expensive. From the minimum contracts and wasted roster spots of Bobby Brown and Manimal to $170+ million for Westbrook and 2 draft picks. That's about as expensive a pacifier as you can get.) You tell me wiseguy. If this doesn't work, if Westbrook continues to perform doen to his career inefficiency.... then what's the market for him in trade a year or two from now? Theyre was no market for Westbrook when Presti tried to pawn him at the draft. Total zero.
Don’t see why it’d be hard. Shump and a ‘20 1st. The only question that might give reason for pause and concern is his knee.
If people thinking he was hard to trade really meant nobody wanted him, they are ignorant Westbrook was hard to trade because of his cap hit and no one having real room or need fit. To match that high of salary you have to ship out significant salary AND need a pg, and hoping what you ship out doesnt hurt your team.
Come on man, that article is terrible. They’re talking about soccer and gambling half the time. Plus they never acknowledged that KD and Klay we’re going to be out. How many tickets are sold out for events are overpriced AND the talent is 2/3rds missing? That was a fan boy forbes article.
Per our very own @KellyUnchained The Rockets are still exploring SNT options with Shumpert. I think Covington has to be at the top of our wishlist still and would hope A FRP + SRP+ Shump is enough to get it done. https://theathletic.com/1092077/201...like-with-james-harden-and-russell-westbrook/
