    I mean...is the OL really gonna be Davenport-Howard-Martin-Rankin-Scharping ??

I feel like given health, which is absolutely not a given but for the sake of argument, the QB/Receiver talent on the roster is arguably the best the Texans have had. That’s projecting a bit but the case can be made. RB talent is nothing special, concerning only because OB will call a million run plays but the special vibes come from this potential passing threat.....can they really hold up with this super young OL?

And still waiting for the JJ, Clowney, Mercilus connection to put up a 30 sack season right? 10 each is asking too much from a #1 overall, another 1st rounder and a 3x DPOY??

There's really no telling how OB is gonna start the OL. It's gonna be a mess.

Eventually I think we'll settle on this:

    Davenport (LT)
    Fulton
    Martin
    Kelemente
    ?

Yes, pretty much the same as last year, except Lamm is gone. I don't think it's realistic to expect rookies to play. They might, but I wouldn't count on them being good. Also, hoping Khalil and Seantrel will be healthy and competent is also a pipe dream.

Sure would be nice to have a GM ready to pick up any free agents or make vaue trades.

Why should we think our pass rush and safety help will be any better this season than it was last season?

    Couple of reasons:
The secondary was okay last season until injuries hit too hard and they had to play safeties like Kareem at CB. The CBs just have to stay healthy and not ve Shareece Wright bad.
JJ Watt is not coming off an injury this year.
Clowney is going to be playing pissed.

Can we add the word "disaster" to the thread title?

Really at this point, the incompetence at the top of the organization is known. I find myself hoping they stumble into players. Literally relying on luck and circumstance. I don’t think they are so incompetent that they wouldn’t play good players if they fell in their laps... I hope at least.

Damn, are we really not going to hire a GM for the season?

Maybe we should just sit Deshaun all year since the FO is taking the year off as well. That way he doesn't get injured behind our putrid OL and we can get a high draft pick if we, you know, have a GM by the 2020 draft. Not like we're utilizing his rookie contract any ways. Put him on clipboard duty and give the reins to AJM! We're not doing anything against the 2019-20 schedule anyways.

Yeah; the Bengals - the far and away cheapest franchise in possibly all of sports - is going to trade free assets (draft picks) so they can dump money on a LT......
