I honestly think a big part of the reason we even won 2 games against the Warriors is due to Tucker and Gordon going off. They played superb defense all playoff long and against Golden State.

Also you can't gurantee CP3 wasn't going to get injured again if we waited until WCF

Chris Paul was going to opt out of his contract......but then never actually did it. That allowed the Rockets to execute the Opt-in and trade.

Players can *say* they are opting out. But until they *actually do it* it is just lip service. Sometimes to motivate actions.

Then he best stay uninjured because we dont want injured players either.

150 million is a great incentive for him to stay out of injury.

He always had to threaten to opt out and walk via freeee agency in order for philly to be willing to opt-in and trade him to us.

Pretty sure cp3 was "planning on opting out and testing waters of freeee agency"

its true but none of them are as good as jimmy butler. having butler out there would have been more impactful in my opinion.

when the body is wearing down and about to break, it doesn't wait for the rockets game. he was wearing down and would've gotten injured around the same time against whoever they were playing.

Gordon to Philly, Capela to 3rd team, plus Nene for salary, is enough salary for Butler sign and trade. Plus we could probably even get a first round pick back with that package. Full MLE for DeAndre. We would be hard capped but the hard cap number should be about the same as the Tilman cap number.

Or that he has no desire to play here. He’s never shown even the slightest interest and I doubt he’d enjoy playing w Harden. Can you imagine butler just watching harden pound the ball into the ground for 20 seconds 80% of the game? Or harden not moving at all off ball the other 20%??

The second butler jumped on harden for something like that the season would implode.

Correct. The only way a guy is signing to play here is if he is old and in need of that final contract or coming off an injury or something. That's not even taking into account our dire financial situation. Butler being here would be instant drama. You're right. He's never been one to keep his mouth shut.

You are also right that Harden would immediately shut up and let his body language talk its way out of it. :D

we need 4 people to score 20 plus. This is a basic champion team can do. otherwise it does not have any chances to get the champion
