This implies Framber doesn't have an elite curveball. Framber has an elite curveball.

Keeps moving Alvarez up. Springer's going to have to fight for that leadoff spot when he returns. :)

(Seriously, though - the way the Astros think about line-ups, it wouldn't be that crazy to put Yordan first and force the pitcher to pitch to him "cold" or walk him and immediately have runners on in the 1st inning. Same logic as Springer, but possibly a higher walk %)

I didn't realize Straw's OBP was .394. Him and Marisnick just flat out can't coexist on our roster when we're healthy, but he really belongs in the bigs. He may even deserve to be an everyday player (not sold on that yet).

I really have no idea how Luhnow is gonna sort through this outfield situation. We currently have 8 guys who should be in the majors (9 if you wanna throw in Fisher) and likely only 5 spots, 6 tops. We need to get the prospects innings to prove themselves, but dumping a productive player for a possibly unproductive prospect isn't particularly safe either.

Killer Bees line up! Not a lot of "B's" but a lot of BUZZ as in SAW.

It’s also impressive to consider the amount of outfield prospects we’ve dumped because they were blocked in the last few years - Teoscar Hernandez, Domingo Santana, Brett Phillips, Ramon Laureano to name a few. The biggest regret is probably Laureano at the moment.

Interesting lineup today - surprise Hinch grouped all 3 lefties.

Lefties have hit Thornton well so far and they've only got the 1 lefty in the pen and he's nothing special. But yeah, I wouldn't expect to see this often.

Considering Fisher in limited time is in the Top 120 OFs in fWAR, I think the case is easy for Fisher to be deserving of being in the majors. He probably should be starting some place.

People blame tanking for there being too many teams right now, but the cause of so many bad teams is that teams allowed Astros and teams like Astros to stockpile depth years ago. Bad teams just don't have the Fishers, the Kemps, the Straws.

Yes and no. I think those depth guys are already playing in the bigs for the O's and Blue Jays, not toiling in AAA or on the fringes of the 25-man roster.

That's what I mean. If the best players were in the majors regardless of teams, rules, contracts, I think Fisher is in even if he's a below average player.

Every ball hit is like a laser. McHugh is going to be starter by August.

Hopefully that was Peacock's bad inning.

He got rocked even on outs.

    He had 2 strike outs.

And there’s our obligatory inning end DP
