Jason Castro (72nd) is the only ex-Astro in the top 90 in the league in position player fWAR. Martinez (94) and Fowler (103) are in the next tier. Morton (6th), Lyles (40th), Musgrove (42), Hader (49), Giles (51), Happ (116), and Thornton (119) are the former Astros pitchers having good years.
Crazy how good Ken Giles has been...he's got a 1.08 ERA and hasn't been a fluke based on the advanced stats. The guy is such a mental midget. He seems to kills it on teams that are awful and there is no real pressure (was great on the Phillies and now is great again) but clearly couldn't handle the pressure here.
Tim Federowicz went 2-3 with a 3-run bomb in his first game for the Rangers on Saturday. They traded for him when Kinda-Falafel went on the DL.
Former Astros farmhand LHP Patrick Sandoval (traded for Maldonado) is starting against Round Rock in AAA.
you sure sound like he's having a fluke season even though advanced stats says otherwise. Just be happy for the guy for bouncing back.
Are you Ken Giles agent? What a weird reply to me...but thanks for telling me what I should be happy for. That being said, why would I be happy for a guy who was given more than enough chances here and told our manager to go “F*** himself”? And no as I clearly stated in my post it isn’t a fluke season...my opinion is that he can’t handle real pressure.
