I haven't been on here in a while and searched but didn't see a thread, but I have to believe there are a few hockey fans out there... This year, all 4 Wild Card teams advanced to the second round, and all 4 divisional winners got sent home (first time ever). Having lived in Dallas for a bit, it's hard not to root for the Stars, who have a game 7 with St. Louis tonight. San Jose leads the Avs 3-2 as does Boston over Columbus. If all fans were like hockey fans. Carolina fans really showed their team a lot of love knowing they were going to lose. We could use some of that in Houston.
Wow can’t believe not many other people watch hockey. I didn’t use to like it but it has grown on me and i love watching it. Them guys are tough and i love seeing shots taken at each other. Let’s go Bluees... don’t wanna see Boston win another championship again.
In disbelief at the Stanley Cup run. Been a Blues fan since I lived there before moving to Houston and those years of playoff appearances and no Stanley Cup appearances were rough as teams like the Stars, Carolina, Colorado, etc. made the playoffs and won the cup while the Blues looked on. This run was special. Everything about it. From Coach Mike Yeo getting fired early on to the team being in last place in January and players fighting each other and then the call up of the rookie goalie and then the playoff run. Like a storybook sports movie. And the clincher was beating the Boston team. In Boston. In a Game 7!!! Unreal!
Man I couldn't agree more. The blues stars series was so good, and so was the final...great hockey all the way around... The winter classis was pretty bad ass as well...
Looked good then! Not so much now. Unfortunate ending last might, losing on a power play that shouldn't have been. Will see how tonight goes. Worried that Khoudobin needs rest, not a back to back
