Why would Caserio continue to work for the organization that doesn't want him to grow and are dragging their feet

The character coach that left because of a handjob would never lie. Or tamper.

And to answer your question - the founder of my company has a great saying. ‘Always expect people to work in their own best selfish interest’

Their selfish best interest is Caserio coming to Houston. Therefore, they will Ollie North it.

Another thing: the Texans didn’t even bother to hire a search firm

But they did adhere to the Rooney rule and establish a list/interview process

    There was 100% tampering.

Lets see what the Patriots have on Easterby.

This all points to Caserio wanting the job which is good. It appears like the Texans will land him.

Saw a leak today that BOB did not want to deal with Personnel anymore. Pretty significant leak that just happens to be the opposite of what BB would ever say.

It paves the way for any talk that the Patriots personnel job is on level with the Texans GM job.

Good. It's about time we start skirting the lines of cheating to win because that's what you've got to do.

Another possibility: they talked Caserio into staying at that dinner they had with him and he admitted to the tampering

If the only proof they have is that Easterby and Caserio had a convo at the ring ceremony then they don’t have much of a case.

A reminder that if the Pats would just name Caserio the ‘General Manager’ they would have the ability to block the interview.

Again this seems like a last ditch effort by the Pats.

I’m not sure they can unilaterally make him the GM. Like doesn’t he have to agree to a new title? It would require contractual language to change giving him the title and roster authority and a contract change would require his signature

I don't think that is legal at this point since the Texans put in their formal request, but I am probably wrong on this.

The Texans also have started to lay some ground work that the next GM will have full power which is something BB in New England won't do.

You could make the case that the Texans job is a better job to the NFL and they could rule that the Patriots have to grant permission due to that.

Lol... a middling franchise should not be this newsworthy, regardless of the circumstances.

I’m sure there’s a process that would have to take place but if they wanted to they could start putting in place the motion to get that done and they aren’t.
