I couldn’t take listening to the fake crying the first time I saw the video and turned it off after 5 seconds. After actually watching it sounds like they knew 100% he had an Achilles injury and probably told him he couldn’t make it any worse or something like that.

That performance was faker than the video of Carlos Correa and his fiancée explaining how a masseuse broke his ribs.

Silicon Valley successfully disrupts another industry.

Be happy, now Kevin Durant's supermax deal can be put to more productive use

What does this mean for KLAY? He still getting Maxed?

Honestly I hope KD does not rely on the same doctors and team that pressured him to come back early. If he reups. . . then he needs to Kawhi the **** out of the situation

Klay will absolutely get the max. Golden State would be insane to risk losing him by lowballing him. They'll try to resign Looney. I think they have his Bird rights, but the cap experts will have to shed some light on how much they can offer or match. I assume Boogie is gone. No, he won't get 20 mil a year from another team, but he could certainly get more than 5-6 mil and the Warriors can't really pay him much more than that.

But if Durant opts in, that does add a lot of cost to their roster. They're capped out whether he stays or goes, but it makes it tougher to bring in additional help as their luxury tax payments will continue to pile on.

Basically the Warriors next season will be this team sans Boogie, sans Durant(whether he opts in or not), possibly losing Livingston to retirement, and maybe with Looney depending on what they're allowed to pay him. Plus a year older and with a sh-t ton of mileage on those bodies which is starting to take a serious toll.

Kevin Durant Had Discomfort Pushing Off Right Foot Throughout Rehab

Kevin Durant was working to speed up the recovery from his calf injury from the Western Conference Semifinals, but he was still experiencing discomfort pushing off his right foot.

Sources told Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports that Durant was "in agony because he was unable to help his teammates."

Durant was not anywhere close to 100 percent despite being cleared, according to sources.

Durant's status was a talking point because he wasn't ruled out indefinitely.

Frustration Builds Over Durant’s Playing Status

There’s “some internal optimism” in the Warriors‘ camp that Kevin Durant will be able to return for Game 5, but the day-to-day uncertainty regarding his status is frustrating his teammates, reports Sam Amick of The Athletic.

Sources tell Amick that many in the organization expected Durant to come back for Game 4 and play through the pain like Klay Thompson (hamstring), DeMarcus Cousins (quad), Andre Iguodala (calf) and Kevon Looney (collarbone fracture) are all doing. Amick points out that the decision isn’t Durant’s to make. His availability is determined by trainer Rick Celebrini, who hasn’t deemed him ready to play.

Two sources say that Game 5 has always been the earliest realistic date for Durant’s return. He still hasn’t been able to practice since straining his left calf May 8 in the conference semifinals.

Still, there was tension in the locker room Friday night among some players who didn’t understand why Durant didn’t try to take the court in such a pivotal game.

    ________________________

Out since May 9, no practice, no games, walking in sandals with a big ol' ice pack on his calf/achilles, gets a short practice in and he's suddenly cleared, ready to go?! o_O
LOL Good job Warriors. Bob Myers can save the "no one is to blame" BS.

That's tragic. He's an all-time great but that's not an easy injury to recover from; particularly when you're on the wrong side of 30. I was really looking forward to him defecting to a team like the Knicks or Nets and making the NBA a little more interesting next season.

He would've made the East more interesting. But the West will still be the same as it was going to be. He'll just be in street clothes instead of a former Warrior. And at least we know he won't improve the Lakers or Clippers.

Damned if you do, got-damned if you don't?

He doesn't play, he's soft, a wuss, he's going to leave anyway so why risk injury. He plays, he's a dumbass who should have looked out for #1.

Anyway, I feel bad for him. He'll be out a while. And he should walk (limp, I suppose) out on that organization. Iguodala talked about pressure taking all joy out of the game; maybe it's the dark side of being on top and always fighting people wanting to push you off.

During last nights game, Mark Jackson made it a point to say that two starters took Kevin to the locker and how it is not common to see that. I think Steph actually checked himself out of the game.

I wonder if those two were the ones that led the charge about Durant not playing and questioning why he couldn't play through the pain. Maybe they felt guilty which is why they both went back there with Durant.

Don't play sports if you don't want to get injured.

KD should opt in and ask for a max extension. See if the organization really cares about him or not. Haha. Then we will see if those tears are real or fake.

Otherwise, opt in and make them pay while he rehabs. Don’t play a single freaking game for those bastards. Force them to make some tough choices with the players they really love (no way they would risk Curry’s long term health). Then walk in free agency and sign elsewhere.

It’s about time they have to deal with a broken player type of contract situation. They have been so damn lucky with things falling their way. Welcome to the struggles the rest of the NBA has dealt with. Injuries, contract negotiations, disgruntled players, personality conflicts, tough choices of who to keep and who to let go, etc. It’s been all roses over there way to long.

Order is returning to the galaxy, whether KD stays or leaves.
