I get what you're saying but yeah i wanted him to bunt before he even took the swing. Small ball is an art that shouldn't be forgotten. We've seen Jake bunt before but as you stated there isn't a guarantee just like there wasn't a guarantee wouldn't have hit in a DP. Real issue was Tyler White yet again with a man on second and no outs can't put the ball in place. White needs to be replaced.

I'm happy with the series win and i know we can't expect to win them all. It was a sloppy game and the wind didn't do them any favors. I hope the team gets healthy.

While I think some may be underestimating how effective a bunt is at plating one run, it was the the top of the 6th with Valdez warming up in the pen. I like our bullpen, but no way of knowing only one run would be needed to force the Red Sox to bat in the 9th. Bunts kill the odds of scoring multiple runs and win expectancy early in games.

How many times had Yuli played second base before yesterday's game? He had some big miscues there that cost us. Maybe it was just the Sun messing him up.

Wind too, both of those popups were blowing back to CF. The one that landed in the OF was Jake's ball and he pretty much lollygagged getting there.

He's played a decent bit of 2B (100 innings just last year, and that was his 2nd start in'19), but he's far from great at it. The 3rd string 2B is usually going to be like that.

I thought Reddick had the better angle but regardless one of them should have made a play it wasn’t on Yuli. Jake is not an everyday player he seems to lose focus after a couple straight games.

Both of them could have gotten it most likely. Until one of them calls it, it is both their fault.
