if “Point God” does not show up in game 6 and the Rocket lose the series 4-2 should D Morey consider trading him to Boston for Kyrie? Boston can’t lose Kyrie for nothing and if they can convince kyrie to sign and trade Him... maybe cp3 and 3 first rounders is enough to get it done... Houston needs to pair Harden with a legitimate all star! James has shown he shrinks in big moments and needs to defer, problem is James has no one to defer to but a midget point guard who also shrinks in the big moment and has obviously lost a huge step. Boston might do the trade simply because they have TOO much talent, Cp3s leadership skills are undeniable and would serve well with the surplus of talent they have. And kyrie would Fit the Rockets needs of a dynamic all star to compliment Harden.
Kyrie wanted to be the man, in Boston. He's not going to be the man in Houston, so I don't see why he'd want to come here.
Why would Boston take on his salary ? Kyrie is a free agent. The only person you may be able to trade him for is John wall who had a major injury and has a bad rep in the locker room.
We would probably have to throw in Capela plus picks and Take Hayward’s contract. Then maybe sign somebody like Thomas Bryant to replace Capela. It’s a reach lol
Random trade idea is random. They wouldn't trade Kyrie (he's a free agent anyways) but maybe Gordon Hayward. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php...rockets-on-interest-in-gordon-hayward.294458/ http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/sources-moreys-summer-goal-bring-cp3-hayward.283366/ http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/sources-morey-eyeing-gordon-hayward-next-summer.278568/ Hayward: 2019-20: $32,700,690 2020-21: $34,187,085 (Player Option) On 2nd thought, no they wouldn't do that either. Hayward's contract is shorter, less expensive. Paul: 2019-20: $38,506,482 2020-21: $41,358,814 2021-22: $44,211,146 (Player Option)
Boston would NOT do that. In any scenario. If Kyrie, Horford and Baynes all exercise their option to become FAs, Boston actually would have a ton of cap space. Horford's getting paid $30 million next year though and is 33 next month. He's not getting no CP3 contract, lol. But 4 years at $20/per is foreseeable. Vs. this next year at $30, plus then maybe getting 3 years, $15 per. $80 over next 4 years vs. $75, but with it front-loaded. It's pretty close, so Horford may indeed excercise his option, especially if his agent convinces him he can get 4 years starting at $25. That's EXTREMELY far fetched though. In either case, Boston doesn't want CP3s contract. Teams that MIGHT take him, imo. - Lakers - Hornets (NC connection, MJ does dumb things, they have bad contracts to return) - Spurs (but they have nothing to send back) - TWolves (maybe, Gerson might be down, they might be wary of Wiggins already, want a better veteran presences next to KAT... but hard to see them doing that again after already moving young assets for a failed deal) - Dallas (again, not really anything to take back, but I could envision them also wanting a veteran presence next to Doncic and Prozingis to make a real playoff push next year) If the Rockets fail again, even if its because CP3 sucks, DM also HAS to start thinking about the next step, which is major moves. This team they're playing the next 2 games is as BAD a GSW team as we'll see the next 3-4 years. No KD, no bench, Steph with a bad finger, Klay "off" a bit, etc. Major moves include: * Trading CP3 - but the return will be bad. Because of the contract. * Trade Capela - a legit thing to consider, and probably the path DM goes. He's not useful against GSW, and theoretically there's always a big out there on the FA market that might be. DJ was close this year. Last year Nerlens Noel was had for pennies, and he was great for OKC this year. * Full rebuild. The exciting thing about this would just be seeing DM maneuver this. In a full rebuild this team has LOTS of assets that could return real value. Harden, Gordon, Tucker, Capela, CP3. If MDA wanted to work through that, and if they continued the "math"/analytics style, I think it's a faster rebuild then most, in the hands of DM. Except for the foundation piece. That's the hard part. But it's much faster than a Sixers 6 year rebuild plan, imo. [For example, you could trade Harden to the Knicks for Kevin Knox, Mitchell Robinson and the #1 pick. Knicks probably don't do that, but if they feel good - eg. 100% - about getting KD, they become instant ECF players, even though the temptation of Zion is hard to pass up]. Why didn't I list trade Tucker or trade Gordon as major moves? Because those are 2 guys whose value is so far and above their contracts, imo there is virtually no way to trade them and get enough in return to make the team that much better than it currently is. They'd be more of lateral moves and just interchanging pieces. Whereas a Capela trade would be a more radical departure.
Lose nothing ... doesn't mean they will take bad contract (sorry CP, but it is what it is). So ... Huh.
Dallas: Hardaway, Courtney Lee, Justin Jackson Lots of pieces for Dallas to move, and CP3 has the longest contract left of them, but again that veteran presence next to Doncic, Porzingis Lakers: Ball, Kuzma, Cap Space Lakers consider this if they strike out in FA. Hornets: Zeller, Biyombo, Williams Meh... only do it if they lose Kemba... and even then, that team is pretty bare bones at that point. Minny: Wiggins, Dieng Wiggins is paid less, but has 1 more year. Don't think Minny does it. This is just my two cents... but that this is likely the type of offers you might get, at best, tell you CP3s value at the moment. The Lakers striking out on everyone, getting desperate to do something, Lebron pushing for the addition of his pal, is your best bet, as Kuzma can slide right into SF spot and Lonzo, well, he can't shoot but for guys that know they can't shoot there are ways around that, even in our system... plus his 33% was an improvement (so he might improve more), and if he can stay healthy, he's a great passer and can d up.
Danny Ainge is all about YOUNG ASSETS, 1st Round Picks, not a has been, washed up, slow Overpaid YMCA Point Guard. Lingering Hamstrings, No Knee Tendons in both of Knees, Steroid issue of Chris Paul.
If the Rockets trade James Harden and get a High Draft Pick and Build around him, that would be a quick rebuild. Clint Capela, Eric Gordon, P.J Tucker have high value in trades. Chris Paul would be the worst contract, maybe trade Chris Paul for John Wall, Wall is Younger at least, and not too injury prone like Chris Paul. John Wall coming off an Achilles Injury or Chris Paul plays 32 regular season games, with no knee tendons, and Bad Hamstrings. Can we trade Mike DAntoni and Jeff Bzdelik for 1st Rounders also, legally the Rockets should do it.
No NBA team has any interest in trading for CP3 and his contract. He's going to be here for a longtime whether we like it or not. Morey went all in on Harden, Paul, and Capela. That is our core for the foreseeable future. At this point it's best to just root for CP3 and the Rockets. We really don't have any other option.
Paul is not getting traded, you guys better deal with this...unless he asks for it, and in that case only the Lakers would be in play because of Lebron, even though, i don't think Lebron is dumb enough to ask for a CP3 trade, the Lakers need a better player to be able to compete. What we can hope for is that we'll be somehow able to get a third star, which would be our second star at this point, and Chris will eventually slide into that 3rd star/elite role player kind of role.
