ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Warriors 5/8/2019 (Playoffs Round 2, Game 5)

A fact is still more relevant than a guess though.

 

Just so disappointing man... This game was literally right there for the taking. Say what you will about them but Curry & Thompson will take & make big shots in crunch time & their team will fight tooth & nails to get key rebounds & loose balls, theyre just more poised down the stretch than us.

 

Oh well tbf to us(although I dont really want to), Durant played 2 quarters and a half. They basically survived us for a quarter and a half. I say this...but I dont have any confidence we win game 6.

 

Only beat us once in regular season

 

Yeah Harden was getting doubled but he should have stayed aggressive. I know he was not expecting a game like this from CP3, so I think that threw him off a bit. Harden can’t do it by himself and know he will need CP3 at some point. Problem is time is running out. This is what happens when your coach has no adjustments to make. Where was Nene in the second half? Time to trade Capela and move on from MDA

 

Kenny Smith is completely right.

Curry and Klay can win A game in this series. They can both get extremely hot for a night and end this series.

 

Omg.....last play of game...klay was out of bounds before he let go of the ball...Gordon got the ball and lost it with Livingston falling on top of his head. Ridic...where is the review!!!

 

He was doubled hard. Warriors took a strategic risk that paid off. They also played with desperation on defense to hedge the risk of committing so hard on the double.

 

We had one quarter. And the gameplan will change with KD out.

They have 0 depth and won’t have enough firepower to beat us. KD has literally been carrying them.

 

We should, but idk, I just feel like we are done. They are gonna come into Houston focused so idk....im just not in a good headspace right now.

 

It’s never good to bring Harden in early in the 4th and playing him big minutes, espically when he’s the only one doing anything. I know that sounds odd, but time and time again Harden falls off the cliff when he’s tired in the 4th playing too many minutes. His body just shuts down.

 

Harden better win this f-cking series I can't take another season of fans and media embarrassing him and the rockets. You would think Harden would get enough of this sh-t!!!!

 

tonight was the best chance for us to get that 3-2 lead...and we fcuked it up big time...
i'm taking a long break if we lose this series...

Yep. They have 4 all-stars, we have 1. If he doesn't shoot, we lose every time. That's easy math.

 

CP3 is done. He's the most expensive dead weight in the league now. Last year's CP3 with how Harden is playing this series would have had this team in 5 games.

 

He's playing like the Monstars took his game.

 

It’s as if we were more stunned at Durant’s injury than they were. That all we had to do was wait and the game would be ours. There is a lesson there. If we ever again take a game for granted, we deserve to lose.

We will win game 6 in Houston and then take game seven in Oakland. I don’t think Durant will return.

 

Like Kenny said, Klay and Curry can steal a game.

Klay can go into one of those modes where he never misses and puts up a 20+ point quarter. We are playing with fire.

If Durant went out game 1 or 2 I'd agree...but they only have to win one game now.
