I liked it best when Scottie said James Harden has a very good feel of how they are playing him.

They did OK here. Admitted it wasn't a bad defensive plan and it was executed much better in Game 2, but that Harden is just too elite and is straight up beating it. Called him hands down the most elite offensive player on the planet. Surprised me coming from this crew, w/ Windbag's usually disingenuous smears paid for by Lebron LLC

Harden is going up against Rubio, Mitchell, Crowder, and O’neale this series. OK defenders, but only O’neale can really affect him it seems.

Next series will be tougher. Klay, KD, Draymond, and Iggy. Plus all the pressure they will put on Harden on the other side. Plus they have home court advantage.

If Harden some how pulls it off and leads us to victory over those guys, it will be the greatest individual accomplishment in NBA history.

I'm confident, national media will not see it that way if Harden was the lead us to victory.

This also makes me think about how Harden is about to... get even better. How do you develop a weak hand shot? Practice and repetition. The next team that gives up on sending him right every time, will face a Harden that will be far more comfortable going right, in addition to being ungaurdable to his left.

His ball handling and blow by is already elite, but his efficiency is lower if he blows by to the right side of the court (his weak side). Soon he will be going left and right w the same confidence and getting into the lane from both sides. We already know about his mutli-dimensional dominance once in the lane (floater, drive, create and pass to the open 3). We know he has his stepback, and side-step 3, and blow by options at the top of the key.

The only weakness he has left is staying aggressive for his entire time on the court, and not getting mentally blocked by horrible calls. He still dissapeared in the 2nd half of that crucial OKC season finale. Cliche, but he can only beat himself at this point

Is it that they used the Defense that Scottie originally suggested? :D

Have to give a nod to Nowitzki against Big 3, too....but, yeah, GSW is better than Miami teams.

(btw: How did Lebron only score 18ppg, behind Wade/Bosh, and on 4 more minutes, no less?)

If it is not clear in the OP segment, keep in mind, Pippen has already explained on Jan 15th how Bledsoe and Bucks first used this defense (in Jan 9th game)...and he agrees with it.

However, he says in OP vid that you need the perfect personnel vs this gimmick defense, and Utah doesn't have it...plus Harden/Rockets keep learning. Is it perfect personnel, or Gimmick that rarely works by anyone?

Let me stress...this defense has been tried over 10 times this year, and has NEVER worked, except one of 2 games v Bucks, when everyone missed shots. I'm not even sure if it's the best defense for Bucks to play.

Here's orginal comments from Jan 15th

Is it me or does it look like a group panel who’ve been stuffed with crow, and now has to acknowledge that Hardens elite talent isn’t some scam they helped perpetuate for the past years. You have to believe your eyes, not the narrative the over lords of the NBA want you to accept. Harden has single handed rebuffed all of their narratives and made them look like fools...

That might be true but Eddie Johnson and Justin termini on there radio show yesterday said if harden can lead houston past GS and win the chip which they both agreed he should if they get past GS. He’s unquestionably the face of the league and best player in the game especially factoring in the regular season he just had.

I do think harden will be talked about much different if he can pull this off.

I’ve heard so many media guys in espn finally admit he’s an alltime great and the best offensive player by far in the league. The narrative of harden is changing, it’s been slow he’s not been anointed like AD and Giannis have been but he’s been ascending in the right way because it’s been earned and not handed to him.

Which to make it this far doing it that way is highly impressive.

Harden would be remembered as the guy who took down one of the NBA's greatest dynasty's.
