I'm mainly going by what Sale just got which is $30/year for five years. Sale has a better resume.

I just don't think Cole will get $30 unless he has another great season.

That's why they pay MLB FOs the big bucks: projection of value factoring in age and injury likelihood and all that other stuff.

Here's a fun thought: Cole walks after this year, we sign Trevor Bauer.

Bauer isn't a free agent after this year.

You're right, misread Arb v FA. So we trade for him. ;)

I would be all over Bauer if he sticks with the one year contracts during free agency.

Oh is was just talking **** anyway about Bauer, not sure I'd want to put up with all that he entails...clubhouse or contract-wise. I just don't like the guy.

I don't want them to go after Stroman. I hate the way he winds up. :)

I want him for the name, but do second the windup being annoying. If the pitch clock ever happened, I would so love to see him get a violation because of his windup.

One of the things I've noticed about Miley this ST: guy gets the ball and does not mess around. I love it. I'm hoping the pitch clock in the minors is getting the next generation accustomed to working quickly, not hurrying but not taking a walk after every pitch either.

Need to make a play on Cole and try to negotiate while we are the only team that can.
If it doesn’t work out then we tip our hat and day bye.
5 year 125-145 should do it.

The New York Mets took care of one giant question mark Tuesday, agreeing to a five-year, $137.5 million contract extension with ace right-hander Jacob deGrom, league sources confirmed to ESPN.

We'd have to trade for him, I was wrong.

    Kluber it is, then?
