I also can't tell who deserves it more between Giannis and Harden
However, I don't see any way that PG13 should win over Giannis.
It's either Harden for scoring and offence, or Giannis.

It's not to the extent of 14 wins and either way the Bucks have been better against the West than the Rockets. Period.

and considering the Bucks have the 3rd (to 5th)easiest schedule remaining while the Rockets right in the middle at 15th,the difference will get even bigger.

    4) It's very possible and even desirable at this point considering the second seed might enjoy a cakewalk road to the finals compared to the first seed.

But most important the Bucks have been already load managing every starter and have put the foot off the pedal for already two weeks now.
Long are the days when they were streamrolling every team by the 3rd quarter.
Now Bud doesn't even put Giannis in to complete a triple double and comes up with some strange lineups like 3 bigs lineups, or no Center lineups, to try things for the playoffs. I won't be surprised if he even tried a 4 big lineup at some point.

Thing is though, while they might be load managing...they are 1) still winning and 2) Giannis still has STRONG numbers. Maybe he doesnt get the triple doubt, but if he gets 26pts 17rbs 7asts in a game....that is pretty gaudy!

I wouldn't be mad at all if Giannis won. The Bucks are dominating in every fashion and he's an elite player on both ends of the court. Just because Westbrook robbed Harden two years ago doesn't mean we get to disqualify what Giannis' team is doing. We're choking away games with huge leads. We're just not as good. What else does Giannis need to do? Take five more shots per game?

Giannis and Harden both deserve it. Only one man will get it.

He isn’t going to win it. Once the rockets get healthy everyone will forget harden carried the tea, through injuries, and the rockets will finish 4 seed at the highest. Bucks will probably win 62+ and best record in the league.

Giannis will win if Bucks win more games than GS. Billups says wins account for something.

Guess all you care about is a MVP trophy. I'd rather have a championship and have Harden snubbed for MVP. But at this point it's quite possible that neither happens.

Can we care about both? Can we care if our star player gets a very prestigious award?

Giannis is having a fantastic year, however he is not in the top 5 of players in any stat category such as scoring, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks and etc. When Westbrook won he was in the "top 5" along with Harden in many of the stat categories. IMO, Giannis needs to be in one of the major "top 5" categories to be a legit MVP. I think the Bucks are a great all around COMPLETE team that are winning games, not because of Giannis.

PG and Harden are in three "top 5" stat categories, and Harden is in first of 2 of those categories with PG.

Giannis is the only superstar on that team. Bledsoe is a above average starter. Middleton is a fringe all star. They have a great coach. His year though reminds me of Hardens 2017 year where he got screwed by Russell, except Giannis is on the best team in the nba while the rockets were merely a 3nd seed.

Really don't give a F about MVP it's a overrated reward. Harden already won it and it's time for him to win a championship. Let Giannas get mvp and be out in the 2nd round.

It’s similar. Except I think you can say that this years Middleton, Bledsoe, Brogdon would have been the 2nd/3rd/4th best player on that years Rockets team.

And heck they’d be that on this years Rockets team too... if you exclude CP3 and Clint who are /have both been injured for 15+ games already.

So no other superstar but some very solid players around Giannis. Middleton IS an all star this year.

Check out Giannis's 3pt% splits by month so far this year:

    .063 | .143 | .222 | .306 | .375

That's weird. Never seen something quite like that in a star player before.

He has never been a good 3pt shooter. If he was, he would be unstoppable and could be the best player in the league.

I hear all these media guys and former players … and wonder what the hell else they expect Harden to do.

He's averaging ~7ppg more than anyone else in the league.

    He's averaging almost 7rebounds a game

He's averaging almost 8 assists a game on a team that cant shoot …. he'd probably have ~10per if they could hit the broad side of a barn with a shotgun.

The 2nd and 3rd best players on the team have missed a lot of games …. Its Harden , Tucker and 3 dudes from the local YMCA most nights.

If he wants to win games HE has to do it because his teammates aren't capable , that's why he has the a usage rate that's off the charts.

Take him away from this team and they aren't fighting for a 3-6 seed , they are lucky to win 10 games all year - What more do you want to show how valuable he is to the team ?!!

#@&% those dudes …. if Harden doesn't win the MVP its a travesty of epic proportions.
