I know Magic and Lakers ownership are down for getting rid of all of these guys but it just seems like too much to me. Davis is young but Lebron will be on his way out soon. Unless they can add another piece then I don't know if they can contend.

Pelicans have no reason to trade Davis this season. His contract ends in 2020. Pelicans can simply wait until after July 1st so Boston can be in the mix. Clearly Boston has the best talents/picks to offer.

Boston can’t trade for AD unless they move Kyrie... look up ‘Rose Rule’

This is absolutely true but the discussion is going down now. Rich Paul did this on purpose for LBJ. Essentially, Boston saved all those assets for AD and made it known. They have to convince NOLA to wait because there is a better offer this summer. That means everybody is in the standoff right now and it is going to be hard for NOLA to turn down a competitive offer now. Effectively if Boston ever gets him they have to trade for him now but cannot consummate it and will have to keep it as private as possible but other teams will know. Its a messy situation and they are going to have to massively overpay. Since Boston is limited other teams have to drive the price way up to force teams to have to pay for him.

Would Capela + Gordon + 3 first round pick be enough for AD? That’s a better package IMO that a combinaison of Lonzo + Ingram ++. Anthony Davis with James Harden would be insane.

The timing of this is very interesting.

I think the Rockets will be involved in the mix, they can make a competitive offer but at the end of the day someone will extend themselves more than the Rockets can. Be that LA or BOS or DEN or a mystery team.

A competitive offer that NOLA would hate to miss would be one including a top draft pick or a young future star.
The Lakers potential offer has nothing of the sort. In fact by giving them AD now they reduce the value of what they get back since the LAL 1st rounder wont even be late lottery.
NOLA isnt in any hurry. AD expires in 1 1/2 season not this summer.

Letampering James... can't wait until he retires because he's damn near ruined the league imo. I loathed his entire basketball persona.

I agree but I think the crazy timing more so than the obvious trade is going to complicate what would have transpired naturally this summer. I think beyond Houston this brings credible teams like Toronto and others out of the woodwork to prevent LA from getting lucky. That is going to expose Boston's proposed assets as a protective measure. Rich Paul did this knowing it would force SOMETHING now. AD is the one that held off. The question is can NOLA hold out for Boston. Boston is very smart and stingy. If anything this drives the price up for them to get NOLA to wait for them.

I figured they're going to want Wall to be at the PG position until they can trade him due to the crazyass contract that gave him last year. What a horrific deal that was.

As much as we say he's overrated & protected by the media, I'd still trade just about anything for him.

If I'm Brooklyn, I go all out.
If I'm Miami, I go all out.
If I'm the Clippers, I go all out.
I would probably trade Kristaps for Davis but not sure New York would?
Same with Philly, I probably would trade Simmons but not sure Philadelphia would?
Probably not enough but if Toronto could get him now?!
Washington, same with New York & Philly, I would probably trade Beal.
Denver seems to have a good thing going (even if I don't fully believe in them. Doesn't seem like they'd take the risk.)
We'll see how cocky the Lakers get. (Yeah, we can just get him in a year! We're not trading anything for him!)
    Portland/McCollum: See NY, Philly, Washington

Denver, Sacramento, Phoenix, Orlando, Indiana - likely NOT to take the risk

telltale sign that he wants to be w the LAL

    no

at the end of the season, NO would probably just talk to Bos only. no one else comes close, in terms of tradeable assets

Lol, you made me laugh now cause while i do get what you're saying, as today i kinda think about Lebron this way
    [IMG]

For as good as he is, he's getting old and needs help to stay relevant or his move to the Lakers will be a failure so, i kinda see him desperate to get that help, and after George, Kawhi and Butler for one reason or another didn't end up with him, Davis might be the last big target to get.

I’d trade a package centered around Capela and CP3.

    5/240

Damn man, thst is gonna scare a lot of teams over the cap away. Only way that pays off is if it sends a team to the finals every year and wins at least one chip. Then it pays.
