As much talent AD has, can this guy ever NOT get unlucky with injuries? Call me crazy but If I were Boston and I traded the entire farm for AD this summer, I would not let him play until after the All Star break in 2020 so that he can dominate in the postseason.

I wonder how easily faked injuries are in the NBA. I would take a break too if I were Davis. If you got to put up 35/10/5 to win half your games, it's not worth risking injury. They need to fire Gentry so bad, this is not a great roster but it's not that bad. Any previous Rockets version of Harden would have them in the playoff picture.

Agreed but does that say more about AD not being the elite superstar everyone makes him out to be or just how awesome Harden is not only in terms of talent but durability?

Everyone makes a big deal about how John Wall and Bradley Beal has never led a Wizards team to a 50-win season but neither has AD.

Damn, that boy’s eyes are all over the place. Not to mention that might be the weirdest laugh I’ve ever heard

A bit of both. AD is an elite superstar, but not on Harden's level.

But the bigger problem is the coaching. I have no doubt MDA would have that team in the playoffs.

Doesn't make a difference to anything unless it prompts trade discussion

Isn't this what Harden is essentially doing, though? lol

They're 5.5 games behind us and we've been missing our 2nd best player most of the season, and key players all over. If the Pelicans were 6 games above .500 it would be totally worth it for him to go out and do it while they battle their own health problems.

It's just their coaching is garbage. They've never had a good roster, but even taking that into consideration they essentially never reach their potential.
