I've rarely started threads, believing that pretty much any topic worth discussing has a thread going already if you just look for it, so I've never made a poll. You might be right. I know a thread title can be tinkered with, at least for awhile. No clue about polls. If I start a thread, it's usually in Hangout about an asteroid or comet possibly having our planet in its sights. Along with @KingCheetah, I'm one of those people. @B-Bob always tries to get science involved, which has its pluses and minuses.
A thread title is the only thing we lowly peons have access to change. Maybe @justtxyank can edit the poll once he receives the all powerful moderator powers? I give my permission to @justtxyank to modify the poll as he sees fit.

She can go the Trump route of doubling down and just constantly lie blatantly multiple times a day. That way this would get buried and she would be considered "genuine" and "authentic" because her lies are so blatant and obvious. Oh nevermind. Thar only works if you are a MAGA cultist. Notice a trend here. One liner quips can totally ruin someone's presidential chances. Odd. Then again, gave a well positioned speech at the 2012 Democrat Convention. Not as much the "star making appearance" as Obama's was, but still well received. He also made a few appearances with Beto O'Rourke during his campaign which was a hint at future aspirations. Need to have a number of fresh new candidates to step forward. Looking forward to hearing more from Amy Klobucher, Kamara Harris, John Hickenlooper, and Steve Bullock.
Whomever runs, Beto for VP....Biden/Beto, Sanders/Beto...some form of Beto.....as he is the future of the party. DD

O'Rourke is the darling of Clintonista dead-enders, party superdelegates, and Wall Street Democrats who couldn't beat the guy who couldn't beat Trump. He's an empty suit, who will be trumpeted by the corporate media for his "ability to fundraise." In his senate race, he had not being Ted Cruz going for him, but that won't help him in a national election. He's another bland corporatist candidate like Harris, Biden, and Booker, except younger, whiter, and from a more privileged background. Rep. Gabbard is a much more interesting prospect of any Democratic Part presidential hopeful by far. I'm with Team Aloha :
The mistake you and others trying to push off Beto as a non-factor is that you think it was Beto vs. Cruz...that he lost to Ted Cruz. He made a statewide race extremely close for the first time in a very long time. His performance and presence made many other races across the state much closer than they had been previously. It's not that he lost...it's how he gained a lot of votes from the group in the middle that typically leans right but isn't going to vote a straight party ticket. Those are the voters in Wisconsin and Michigan that the Democratic nominee needs to win back (I think PA is already gone for trump). The 2016 election was decided by a few thousand votes in those 2 states. I don't think it's a stretch to say that a candidate that can better appeal to them (who had done so in a state that has been as deep red as any) can win. That and he has a candidate worse than Cruz to run against should Beto win the nomination.
