The data used are rate stats, so injury shouldn't have mattered. However, it is based on passing only. And Watson for all his magic was a flawed passer. Lots of great passes mixed in with terrible interceptions. He would likely grade out much higher when you account for his running ability but just passing wise I can see him this low.

ESPN has ranked Watson as the best young QB to build around; pretty bad list though:

I’m guessing he’s limiting the list to QBs who became ‘established’(Goff started last year; Kizer shouldn’t start next year) starters this year.

Just imagine Watson with a really great offensive line. All efforts must be made to protect our franchise QB.

A surgeon on another forum noted it when we drafted him and gave it a diagnosic name.

He said you can see at times — like in that video — that the lid partially covers/blocks the pupil and that will affect his stereoscopic vision which will be most noticeable at distance on downfield throws.

I think he said that lid needed to be retracted surgically.

i hate to be a debby downer, but when was the last time we had a respectable OL? out of the current linemen, i am only comfortable with Martin at C. our G and T are atrocious, and as history would tell you, this front office has never made OL a priority.

They should have kept Mancz at center and let Martin man one of the guard spots. Mancz already proved he is solid at the center position. Having Martin at guard means one of Allen or Sua Filo stays off the field. I was saying this even before the season started.

Yes, it seems we always have issues with the offensive line. That's why I'm saying this must be corrected. Watson is too valuable to ignore the offensive line any longer. Steps must be taken this offseason to upgrade the offensive line in a major way.

We had a good OL when OBrien got here.

He got rid of it quick.
