Mr. C is becoming a caricature of himself. I remember Brian Billick was an OC before becoming head coach, and then won a Super Bowl with a legendary defense and an average offense. Terrible coaching job, Brian.

I think BOB is towing the company line.

BOB has a history of QB's that are tall with big arms. Neither of which apply to Watson.

I think he just likes a guy who is a "leader and a winner."

I think Rick Smith has no clue and is quite happy not sticking out his neck for anybody

He said "we" -- we equals the organization: Mr. McNair/Cal/Rick all have a vote.

McNair said publicly we were going to draft a QB and we did.

For the first time since he arrived BOB did not go out and scout any players for the draft.

2017 draft is all Rick, and Watson is 100% Rick's pick. He gets the credit or blame here.

He clearly would have chosen from the 2018 QBs if he had his druthers.

He'll be doing that for another team in ~9 months.

I agree and then we'll see how good he is. But anyway I hope Rick gets fired too and McNair sells the team.

Funny no fire Bob mcnair thread. Dude forced Nubian to take David Carr to get hired. Mcnair set this franchise back years with his r****ded logic philosophy and personal faves. Smh

Hackenberg at PSU. That is the point. The big arm QB thing is a myth.

It's a bit confusing with McNair, he's a businessman, yet he gets overly attached to mediocre coaches and GMs.

Capers and Casserly were given way too long of a leash and Kubiak really sucked ass at making adjustments... if things weren't going according to plan we were completely screwed... he lucked up with a #1 defense and Peyton in Denver.

Now Rick Smith is guaranteed to go nowhere because he's like a Godfather to someone of his.. stupid.

Too attached, football wise, to be a NFL owner imo.

He should have kept Kubiak over Rick Smith. He basically fired Kubiak because Schaub got injured and wasn't good anymore.

Kubiak was great in Baltimore and Denver after he left here
