Nah, you don't trade away guys like Harden. Even if you look at his disappointing game 6 performance versus the Spurs, you can't pin all of it on Harden. Yes, he's the leader of the team, and yes, he seemed disconnected from the game, but unless you're getting back Lebron, KD type talent, I wouldn't even consider it. We just need to surround him with players that are competent and not Ryan Anderson. Our team simply wasn't good enough. There's a reason why we were all surprised by the regular season. We over-performed. MDA has a track record of this, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for a couple of seasons. If we continue to have fun regular seasons and no playoff success though, MDA should be removed before Harden is.
So you would trade Harden for inferior players?. Thank god you are not the Rockets GM. Yeah lets trade a top 4 player who was the first to be selected as an ALL NBA 1ST TEAM PLAYERE, a player who put up 29-11-8 and led the Rockets to 55 and along the way orchestrated one of the best offenses of the modern era interms of points per game for two far inferior players.
No. They played horrible, but they still competed. Harden quit. You cant build a contender around a quitter
I don't like to pay Harden more than 40 million. I'm not sure how you can build a championship caliber team. When he plays, we need good defense from the other 2 back court positions, we need a much better rim protector at C than Capela, we need a good defender + good shooter at PF.
This is nonsense, the whole group quit. Coach included , his gameplan was stupid. Organizations are built around multiple guys anyways, build a roster that can compete.
lol, please tell me you're joking.... PG's value is at an all time low and he won't commit to anywhere but LA but you'd hand them over Harden despite that...thank God you're not the GM Wiggins is a talented chucker who plays no defense and doesn't create for others, he loves to take contested mid range jumpers...dude is just another Demar Derozan...lol at trading Harden for that
[ No they didnt. Harden flat out quit. Attempting only 2 shots in the 1st half of a elimination game is quitting, half azz jogging & passing up open shots is quitting. Your not that dumb
Is there a contest to see who can make the dumbest threads? First year at PG and he nearly wins MVP and "he can't play PG". He's a top five player and we should trade him??? Where do these morons come from?
Yawn. We'll agree to disagree. HARDEN WAS PITIFUL in game 6. But the team didn't believe in the gameplan of Harden guarding Gasol & Aldridge in the post which surrendered the boards as well. Playing 5 to 7 guys the WHOLE GAME, while trying to play with pace. The whole no mid range crap bit them in the ass too. When you have midgets driving at seven footers who KNOW they're not going to stop and take a mid range shot, it made the Rox easier to defend. Plus, SA had the size advantage on the boards. It was a road to nowhere. The WHOLE TEAM checked out. One guy can't make you get beat by 40 in basketball, that's a TEAM EFFORT. D'Antoni, Harden and the rest of the team should be embarrassed by that debacle. So if you want to trade Harden for that game then fine but make sure you take rest of the garbage as well. That means firing the coach, the no mid range GM and the other guys who played in the game.
Lol. You're knocking the SAME strategy that proved to be successful in the series. Harden had been guarding their bigman before game 6, and had done a decent job. The Rockets went small earlier in the series and blew SAS out. So how can you knock something that worked? But besides that, you still didn't address Harden QUITTING. He didn't have a bad game, he didn't have the flu, he stopped competing and became disinterested. That's more of a problem than any adjustment you feel MDA didn't make. No Leonard, no Parker, yet you only take 2 shots in the 1st half? You pass up wide open shots just to pass the ball outta bounds? No coach can prepare for their star player checking out
Now that we have cp3 does this move make the trade harden crowd more or less willing to do the unthinkable...
