Steven Adams is one dumb mother****er. The moment he took Beverly out, the game changed. Bev took over at that point and absolutely demolished OKC Never get on the wrong side of Bev. You will pay dearly
Bruh, Daryl Morey said that was a non starter. Told Cleveland to lose his number when they asked about Beverley. True story.
Bev is often underrated on this board. The ways he effects the game is incredible. Every team in the NBA would want Bev on their team hands down.
He looked like he was havin fun too. He didnt have to make all the plays. But he made timely plays that shifted the feel of the game. Now if only Ryan and Capela could turn it up 1/4 notch to what Bev did, and come up wit timely daggers, we'd be hard to contain
My favourite part of Bev's game today - he played under control defense on Westbrook and didn't go right at him in his face on the first position. He was composed and brilliant. Especially after the hit by Adams. Love it.
I was going through my mental Rolodex of all-time Houston Heart & Soul guys in any sport. The only real comparable person I could think of was Mario Elie. Might need to rewatch some old 94&95 playoff series to refresh my memory, but I feel that Bev took what the Junkyard Dog did to another level. All he needs is a moment like you mentioned to cement his legacy. It's been an honor to watch him play. Pure heart and tenacity!
I just flat out love him. It's dope to see mainstream sports media recognizing him for his grit and tenacity, but those are traits we've seen from day one. I'm more impressed with how hard he works to consistently improve his game, substantively. He can never leave. Those are the rules.
