speaking of mamba mentality, this one might stay from the point of OP a little bit, but a good one to share and keep in memory of KB8/24 and his winner mentality

Harden will never get respect because he is signed by Adidas.

He not really better than Damian lilliard who is also signed by adidas : /

Dame's recent score-gasm has deluded some NBA fans into thinking otherwise.

Really good player, yes, and he put our scalps on his wall for a while after our players switched on D when told not to do so and he sent us home early in the playoffs. But he is not on Harden's level. Period. End of sentence.

I think you're on the wrong forum (maybe you meant to post this on Portland's fan forum?), but comparing Harden and Lillard, hahaha, Harden is basically in his own tier with the greats, some of the best offensive basketball in history and you're going to state Lillard is better, hahah, yeah Lillard is good but he's not even close to Harden. I do agree on the Adidas comment (1st part regarding popularity of Adidas with regards to the league/media), but the rest you should just delete...

Speaking of this.... Just the other day one of the espn clowns was talking about his recent scoring run and said something like “when is the last time we have seen anything like this?!?.....”

I about fell out of my chair.

Harden did it for like half a season...LAST YEAR! lol

That is a good quote but only Kobe can say it.

A Hakeem who was better wouldn't likely be able to say that.

Man lilliard send harden home early in the playoffs and lilliard sent Westbrook/ pg3 home early too!

It's not a fluke...lilliard better than harden and Westbrook!

The criticism and hate towards Kobe and Harden are entirely different.

No one said Kobe was boring to watch or played a style to abuse foul calling.

Regardless of why you or others hate the guy it doesn’t change the fact that you and your ilk wouldn’t give a damn about hating on the guy if he wasn’t great.

    My ilk?

As Rocket fans we just have to accept that the entire NBA fanbase that aren't Rocket homers mostly view Harden's game as monotonous, boring and ref dependent.

That's how the general perception is outside of Houston. I'm sorry. There is no predisposed bias with Harden. His play style came first, and the reaction to it came second. There was no planned media conspiracy to hate Harden. His play style can be very boring. Deal with it.

Plenty of friends who are NBA fans up here in Massachusetts who have no reason to "hate" Houston. The Celtics aren't known as a rival. And I've not meet one non Rocket fan who thinks his game is fun to watch.

Are you right that Harden's play style and the incessant and relentless narrative of his boringness and failures in the playoffs wouldn't be so prevelant if he wasn't a perennial MVP candidate averaging 30 points per game? Sure.

I accepted a long time ago that most of the NBA fan base is clueless. Rarely speaks in facts and mindlessly parrots what they hear from clueless talking heads.

Yes, conveniently it's the homers who find beauty in Harden's game.

And many of the comments of "boring" I get from many of my peers and friends are from watching the Rockets live. They see a 10 minute sequence of Harden spam dribbling on one spot and taking 5 consecutive step back threes with the same exact dribble move and they are "God he's boring". They physically see the ref baiting he does on almost half his offensive possessions and get tired of it.
